no, can't have been packed by mistake, because it is only the children that have stuff packed - he is just driving them down there, turning round and coming straight back.

I got the kids' passports out of the cupboard this morning and it was then we saw that his was not there.

As for going through the house, logically - sadly that will take more than the time available. I will finish this coffee, get showered, then get started on finding it.

The worst case scenario is that I do the drive instead, but I don't want to, plus I will lose tomorrow's clients I have booked in, and I will be shattered for work on Monday. Plus, it won't get that bloody essay done!

Hi Hypno, any luck with that passport yet? I do hope so. I keep all ours in my knicker drawer!!!
Twin 2 gone to a baby club at 10am. So just twin 1 left at home with her baby. I have set my laptop up on the folding table rather than at the end of the sofa. I have got a lot of letters to write about getting rehoused. Forms dont do it justice when it comes to a situation like mine.( oh and DS, but hes still in bed...teenagers never see am these days!!)

  • Mooloo can you get yours/twins doctors and social services to send supporting letters that you can include together with your letters?

Also have you applied seperatley for all the Housing Associations?

I would also threaten the Social that if they are not going to help you more re money and housing you are going to crack and they will have to fund alot more for the twins and their babies then!!
  • Awe Hypno I feel for you with this latest panic. We once realised 'on the day' of travel that one of our passports had run out!!! Stress!!!

I hope you find it. I am sure you have already checked but just in case has it fallen down any cracks in the cupboard, behind the cupboard etc sorry stating the obvious probably. I hope you don't end up having to go coz as you said the time would be very valuable to you with all you have to do but at least there is still that option so the children will still get there whatever it takes.

    Good luck
  • Oh, heck! Is your OH related to my OH? He once lost all our passports for about a year after putting them in a "safe place". Then just a few weeks ago he lost my credit and debit card - they're probably in that same safe place!

Here's hoping you find it! And soon!

Christ! Did you find the passport, Hypno? That would massively suck otherwise.

Hi Keeping Motivated. I am in the process of writing to the doctor and the social services to ask why they hadnt already written the letters in October when they told me they had. As I am bankrupt I cannot easily go on the other housing lists becuase of the credit checking etc.
Just found out that Oxford has a Lord Mayors fund that will help with the deposits of those on low income. My problem is that I have had to suspend my work, if not give it up completely, so I am on a very low income. I am going to put everything in writing now, as phone calls seem to have a habit of not being recorded, despite the message saying calls may be recorded. !!They are not even noted!!!

Any luck with that passport yet Hypno, or have you left for France yourself and just left your light on??

Oh Hypno, it never rains but it pours! Hope you find it!

If not, had he got a brother or anyone nearby? A friend of mine lost hers, but she looked similar enough to her sister to borrow hers!!! They never check anyway if you're just in Europe, and her plan had been to say it was an accident if she got caught!

One possible place is on the floor inside the chest of drawers - you know when things pile over the top and slip down the back? But you'd probably try that anyway. Is DH around today to help you look or do you have to do it yourself (which might be better, since you always have to look again in all the places a man has looked anyway!).

    Good luck!
