Oh hypno, I'm so sorry - you must have been writing about the loss just as I'd posted..... what I'd do is unpack the kids' stuff, even tho their passports weren't packed.... its not in the sensible place, so it must be in a crazy place you'd never deliberately put it, thats the thinking. I'm sure you know that stuff anyway, but...... I feel for you, I really do. I'll have my fingers crossed for you.

:grouphug: have a dodgy threesome hug, what an absolute pain for you.

your OH owes you big time I think......when you're not doing your essay, spend some of your travelling time working out a fair reward for him stitching you up.

shame really that you did all that ironing, he could have occupied his time with that........;) but I bet you'll be able to think of something.

    Drive carefully.

I think this would be the ideal time to sign him up for every single mystery shopping agency, and see how many you can book him for over the next few days! I'd DEFINITELY be leaving a very long list of things that I expect to be done by the time I get back - tidying the garage and attic for example?!

Really sorry your plans have turned to rats**t, just try and enjoy the time away as best you can. Don't suppose you've any friends you could take along for the ride?

Hypno, poor you, you must be FURIOUS! I hope the drive is not stressful, and gives you some headspace and time to think.

Mooloo, good luck with the forms, hope they bear fruit in the form of a nice, large, comfortable and well located council house.

Olive - nice to see you again! Where've you been?

Ha Duchy, you would be more than welcome!! I know what you mean - I too have a new job to start on Monday - if I am awake enough that is!!

I have just registered my mobile broadband thing I won in the radio competition - that way I can still get my evening fix of MSE when I am at the travelodge!!

Right, going to get ready to make some sort of a move........well, as far as the kettle, anyway!!

    Hi Hyp,

I logged on to say I hope your 2 have a great time but I'm sorry to hear about the passport

If I was nearer, I'd come with you myself - I love road trips :D

After being desperate for the new job to start, now I find myself thinking that if I wasn't starting on Monday, I could book in for a day in France and have a days skiing!!

Oh well, will just have to look at the mountains, shed a wishful tear, and move on.

The car is packed, the children are sitting here with their coats on ready to go (can you tell they are excited?) and OH still crashing around hoping for a last minute passport miracle!

Bum I really wish there was something we could do.
If you do need to break the journey on the way back either for coffee or even to grab a couple of hours sleep you are very welcome
