Hi Hypno, hope you're doing okay, sorry about the passport. Try to find some enjoyment in your trip to France, it will help your journey pass more quickly if you are enjoying some of it (beautiful scenery etc) than if you are fighting against it because you didn't want to be there. Wish I could come and keep you company, I'd love a trip across the channel and I have a fab travel kettle that plugs into the cigarette lighter so I could keep you supplied with a constant stream of coffee (and of course, I ALWAYS have Jaffa Cakes for when the going gets tough ).

I simply don't know what to say other than try to enjoy your night in the Travel Lodge and I'll (and many others) look forward to hearing from you once you've got yourself sorted for the night/day.:o

Hi guys, got down to Folkestone, journey wasn't too bad. Registered and dumped our bags in the room then went next door for a very nice but reasonably priced meal.

Spent 45 mins working out how to use the internet here, then just as I started posting, OH rings to say "guess what, I've found my passport......" IT WAS UNDER THE SEAT IN HIS CAR...........HOW THE BLOODY HELL DID IT GET THERE I ASK YOU!!!!!

So, he is now on his way to meet us, where we will swap kids and cars and he will continue the journey as initially planned and I will go back home, miss out on the client, obviously, but will be back in time to do my bar shift myself and get my essay done etc.

What a day - you couldn't have made it up really could you?

Thanks for all your support during the day......yes, the main thing is that whatever way it is done, the kids will get to France. It was never an option not to get them there.......but a little less stress would have not gone amiss!!!!

Z I expect he looked there as we had completely ransacked the house and the garage looking for it, he had turned his workshop at work upside down without success so the car was about the only place left. Presumably it has fallen out of his bag on another occasion and got tangled up with the empty macdonalds wrappers and crisp packets.

Anyway, thankfully it has turned up......and one day we will look back and laugh :rotfl: .................perhaps :rolleyes:
