I would imagine that Sarah set herself X amount of time to make X amount of candles when she first started out.

Getting a mention on MSE was bound to create a lot of interest as it's such a huge site. She wouldn't have planned on the amount of orders that she's ended up with - how could she have possibly known that someone was going to post about her on here?

She's posted a message on her home page, can't really see what else she can do TBH. Unless people would like her to spend time sending emails to every customer? Which would delay orders even more

She can't really win with this one, can she?

Good luch with the biz Sarah, you're onto a winner with those candles :D

Gosh no wonder TGF wanted the thread closing! Have you e-mailed her and tried to sort it out that way first rather than posting straight away on here? As she states in many of her posts, if you have an order outstanding e-mail her, or PM her on here. The website currently has a message on it stating she is trying to deal with all outstanding orders and won't be taking any more for a while. I suggest you contact her directly.

Yes I have contacted her twice.

I was told firstly that my order would be with me last week. It didn't turn up. I then emailed her again yesterday to ask if it had been sent and have not received a reply as of yet.

So I have contacted her directly.

If I was talking about a person who wasn't a member on here, would you be so hostile? I think considering I have waited 4 weeks after placing an order and still don't have the items then I'm more than entitled to be a bit miffed and post that on here? Or am I misjudging what this website is about? Or perhaps the tone of your post?

Is this thread just for praise of the business?

Molly_mandy I'd really just like what I ordered and have been waiting for. I'd be a bit peed off if I was given my money back now, after nearly a month, as I could have ordered something else in the meantime. It will mean more hanging about :(

I just want my order  I'm really sorry if my message offends anyone, but I had held off posting for a while.

Maybe I've shot myself in the foot though. I don't suppose TGF is going to be in any rush to get my order out now ;)

I understand your frustrations but give her a chance to reply. It is the weekend after all and Im sure shes entitled to a break once in a while.

sorry but if she says to pm her on here then surely we can post about concerns on here? it would be interesting to know what advice the board guide has given her on how to deal with complaints rather than posting about how good her products are.

i for one am pleased i read about the complaints before placing an order as i was very tempted to do judging by the little freebies the regular posters were receiving but i'd rather have what i ordered than a freebie especially if i have to pay for it 3 weeks before even an attempt is made to deal with the order.

mind you perhaps these complaints should be placed on the warnings and rip off board.

Of course she is - I wasn't complaining just replying to the question which asked if I'd contacted her first before posting.

I think people enquiring about their orders should really be contacting the Good Fairy direct. This thread is just turning into people asking how long its going to be. Fair enough if you want to post saying if you are pleased with your order or not as that lets other people know about the service but you didnt make your order through this site so in my opinion you really shouldnt enquire about it on here either.

Of course you're not allowed to complain about the Good Fairy, you just got told off by the fan club. I wonder if they would all be so happy if like us , they hadn't received their order. I, like Sarah would like this thread closed, the fan club can move over to Facebook, and leave us alone to participate in what this site is all about MONEYSAVING!!!!!!

Noone has a problem about people complaining about their orders being late etc. That is the kind of information people want to know as it helps them decide if they want to order or not.

Its the people accusing Sarah of advertising that is part of the problem. She didnt start the thread, and wouldnt still be replying to it if people didnt keep posting on here asking her questions about her products.

We are meant to be nice to all moneysavers, but some of the posts on here recently have been far from that!

Sarah has turned the shopping cart off on her site for a few weeks so hopefully that gives her enough time to get all her outstanding orders sorted and then maybe we can all start being nice to each other again!

Thats not my style kina, one thing I'm not is spiteful, dis-organised and a pain the butt, yes! I have just finished your order and it will be going out for you tomorrow, I'm sorry I haven't got back to your email yet, To be honest I was embarrassed to have to tell you they hadn't gone yet, so was going to email you tomorrow when I've sent them. I really am sorry kina, I think your comments are very fair and I have kept you waiting too long. I promise you they are going out tomorrow, special delivery for Tuesday. I hope you like them after all this time :)

I can't defend myself, I am in a mess here, I'm doing my best to trawl through all the orders and have closed my website for the time being, so at least no new orders are being added to the problem. I can't email everyone now, it'll take even more time, but I will bear that in mind for when its all up to date and I can start again. Sometimes I think why did I even start this? I'm barely making any profit, especially with all the special deliveries I'm sending, hopefully one day eh  I'm ratty, I'm so tired and stressed about all this, there are candles all over the place. I've said to people that I should make their order by such and such a date and then that date has gone and I look like a complete berk. I know this sounds like a load of excuses, but I want you all to know I really am doing my best to sort this out. Paperwork everywhere, can't find relevant RD slips, can't find if the order has gone out or not... I just want to get it all sorted and then start again and this time do it properly and be more organised, I never dreamt it would be this busy.

None of this is to say that I think its ok that people have been waiting so long, I really don't! I'm embarrassed about keeping anyone waiting, I imagined 2 weeks would be plenty for each order and once the backlog has gone it should be. I get ready to do a certain order and then I find I'm out of the right oils !!!!!!, One of my kitchen cupboards is chock full of oils but never the right one!

Whoever said I had managed to post however many posts, I just want to say thats the only down time I'm having apart from juggling the family stuff. I need a break sometimes and its usually whilst I'm waiting for candles to set. I don't need a complete mental breakdown and this site is keeping me sane, I enjoy talking to friends here. :)

I really don't have a problem with people complaining on here, I deserve it, at the moment I'm providing a cruddy service but I really am trying to sort it out. I just got upset because on another thread someone accused me of advertising, another user kindly pointed out mine isn't the only thread like this, I don't know if you saw my reply before the thread got pulled, but I wasn't upset with you (you know who you are :) ) I have been advised to be careful what I post as people have made complaints. This would be one bad advert wouldn't it 'I can't cope!'

So anyway, I do think the complaints are fair and please believe me I am trying to get on top of it all, sincere apologies for keeping any of you waiting.
    Sarah x

Density if you have any problems then I am sure you are well versed in the rules of MSE? See that little warning triangle on each post? Feel free to report any thread you feel is in breach of MSE rules.
No-one has jumped on anyone other than TGF on here so far. If you have an issue with your order then I think it's between you and TGF - the fact she is even answering on here should surely be seen as a bonus rather than anything else?
No I haven't ordered from her - now I'm glad I haven't as I would have added to her stress to be honest!
I think in trying to please a lot of people by customising products for them Sarah has managed to overstretch herself - I'm sure there are many ways of working around that - so I'll be radical and give a bit of constructive critisism:
TGF - Use one of the order softwares that let you set a stock level - do a basic "line" of items and only customise x amount per month - make sure you charge extra for custom candles too. Set a realistic time frame for custom candles - maybe a week or two? People will understand if you can't do it quicker! Also don't have an auto order feature for custom candles but do it by arrangement only - that way if you feel you have too much on you can say unfortunately you're too busy please come back in x weeks :)
Last but not least - I don't know the profit margin on these candles but if there is not much profit in it then you need to do one of 2 things: Reduce costs or increase prices... Or indeed both :)

    And please everyone remember:
Pls be nice to all MoneySavers. There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.
