Don't have this thread closed! Sarah, take no notice of those people - there are bound to be some people who are OBVIOUSLY jealous. (hug)Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I just wanted to remind people that sarah (The Good Fairy) has a group on facebook which was started to offer people the chance to chat about the lovely products sarah sells and chat about other things, people who dont like this thread dont need to join do they!!!0

Where did that all come from! It has been ages since anyone accused you of advertising your own business, which is in my opinion, what has been going on. Which was fine for you when all the messages were good, but as soon as people start complaining about bad customer service, you want the thread pulled. I can't say I blame you. I would want the same if my business was suffering, but don't blame it on other people.
The truth of the matter is your business has obviously spirralled out of your control, which is good for you, but not for your customers.
I would have been satisfied with a message informing me that my candle wouldn't be delivered. I am pretty sure there is a law about 28 days delivery service.
This site is A MONEYSAVING SITE, which is all about good customer service, value for money etc. It is not a site which just discusses candles, now matter how nice they are.
By the way I wanted to reorder a candle, but after seeing the price hike I thought better of it.
We are all here to save money not waste it!!!
How do you know when people are accusing me of advertising? Can you see my PM inbox? Have you seen the messages from mods warning me to be careful because people are complaining? Didn't think so.
If you read back to the beginning you will see some complaints from people, I didn't ask for the thread to be pulled then, that isn't my issue, I will deal with complaints. I'm sorry if I miss a deadline and will offer a refund as I did to you.
I'm not here to discuss my candles, thats why I've asked for the thread to be deleted. Everytime I post something on here I am accused of advertising, but some people are only contacting me on here. If it pleases you, post complaints and I'll just ignore them shall I? Then people have got another reason to have a go.
You say its good for me that the business is spiralling out of control, how do you know how this is affecting me? Or affecting my family, when I'm so worn out I'm snapping at everyone and I'm hardly making any profit anyway? I just love making the candles and enjoy sharing them with people. On some of the heavier candles I was actually losing hence the price 'hike' of £1, shocking I know to ever have to put prices up.
Why am I trying to justify myself?
Thanks everyone for your nice messagesI don't intend to leave

I ordered items on the strength of the thread and the praise received.
Have been concerned that I haven't received the presents I bought after ordering them over 3 weeks ago. Have found it interesting that I've had no reply to my email asking when they'll be here but The Good Fairy has time to post on MSE.
Fair enough remove the thread but I'm still interesting in reading who has received and hasn't received their order so I can keep track of when mine might be here.0 -
Sorry kina, I wasn't working over Easter, gave myself a weekend off. Have replied to you now x"The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too."- Samuel Butler0

I am going to close the thread for a day or so to let everyone calm down a little. For those who feel that TGF has been advertising then please be aware that advise has been sought from MSE HQ and the thread is still here. TGF joined MSE after a long standing member posted this thread with a link and saw a huge hike in website visits which were traced to this thread.
I think that occasionally things have been borderline "advertising" and that is why both I and MSE staff have advised TGF on how to stay within the board rules.
Yes in a way TGF has been a victim of the success of people "ranting" about her products and she has always seemed very genunine on here - bear in mind this is a "one woman" business (give or take help from relatives) and as such I think she has always tried to answer queries quickly - ofcourse I only see the information on here and don't read her e-mails
Good Fairy - I really don't think the thread needs to be removed but as I said I will close it for a day to let everyone chill a little (might be longer if I don't get online tomorrow - work... gets in the way a little!)
If anything I would caution everyone to remember that you should: "be nice to all moneysavers" - there really is no need or excuse for getting personal with anyone.
Also GF if you have recieved any PMs that are "abusive" or "not nice" then please forward them to the abuse team - same as others should report posts they feel are in breach of the site rules and NOT be PMing posters to tell them they feel rules have been broken.
This is why there are quite a few MSE staff handling the abuse inbox - to make sure ALL mails are investigated
Oh and ofcourse: "it's not my job to deal with abuse"
Blessed be

Just wondering if anyone has received orders this week and how long ago you ordered?
I'm just really disappointed tbh, I ordered a few different things of melts for presents 4 weeks ago today. And no signI'm embarrassed as well as some of them were for friends who have had new babies, so I'd bought them to go in with other gifts, I haven't been able to send the other gifts as I'm waiting for the melts. Just makes me feel a bit rubbish that their babies are a month old and they haven't had their presents yet.
I'm sure they'll be lovely when they eventually arrive as those people that have received their candles have raved about them. I'm not accusing The Good Fairy of advertising The Good Fairy business (just want to make that clear!)
I understand that she has a homelife too, but 28 days should be long enough. And if it isn't then customers should be told that, not left waiting to chase them up. If I'd been warned at time of ordering, a week later, 2 weeks later etc that there was going to be a delay then I wouldn't have minded, but being left waiting and waiting just isn't on.
Sorry! But best to warn people that although the candles look beautiful, be prepared for a long wait to receive them.0 -
To be honest, if I had waited 28 days and heard nothing from the company I had ordered from then I would simply cancel the order immediately and demand a refund. We hang on and hang on thinking it will arrive next day and it doesn't. It's not good enough.
All the Good Fairy needs to do to keep us happy is, when she receives the order and takes the payment, to send an email stating when the order will be delivered. If she says there is a month long backlog, then we have the option to cancel. That would take all of one minute - and afterall she has had the time to write 620 posts on here in the last 3 months!
For people to say we should correspond with her on her website - well, it doesn't work if she doesn't reply.
Don't let your business fall apart Good Fairy ... Just keep us informed please.
It's not much for a customer to ask.0 -
Gosh no wonder TGF wanted the thread closing! Have you e-mailed her and tried to sort it out that way first rather than posting straight away on here? As she states in many of her posts, if you have an order outstanding e-mail her, or PM her on here. The website currently has a message on it stating she is trying to deal with all outstanding orders and won't be taking any more for a while. I suggest you contact her directly.
