@joedenise
I was thinking adding chopped bacon would add flavour or is it worth buying a pack of sausages and you freeze them into portions and give him omelette with sausages so its a bit of meat? Fella's are such pain's at times. Enjoy the archers, used to enjoy listening to them too. Maybe its time for a re-connect2025 financial goals & challenges!

WinterWarrior said:It would drive anyone to the biscuit tin missy, I’m not surprised you’re eating. Unless you also needed chocolate supplies you should perhaps have let him have that rainy trip to the co-op alone!
I hope today is better...if not, may I suggest you point out he has a grey eyebrow hair or a new wrinkle to be helpful, if you can’t beat them, join them 😬
@Queen_of_the_Hive Thank you so, so much! Yes inexpensive and easy, I think bacon and sausages are the way forward, OH doesn't like stir frys as they don't fill him up!! The difficulties of living with a man that needs to eat 3500 calories a day!
So I went to the gym, did a class, OH was still very grumpy, he was whinging on that someone had lost the keys to the coffee machine and there was no change for him to have one without needing the key. I get there, find change, and then start looking in his bag, he starts turfing everything out and miraculously finds the keys!!!!! I tell him he's super grumpy, and give him 'the look' and by the end of the class, he was being much nicer, and he's just phoned to apologise too!!
So I've been productive today, i did my PT, I've messaged my client for tomorrow, messaged my mother who's birthday it is. Spoken to accountant and solicitor. Accountant has promised to get our accounts done by the end of the week. And solicitor is going to be doing the searches in the meantime.
Food wise today I have had rich tea, banana and a big bowl of porridge and peaches. Will have toast for later. So I do need to do some tidying but for now, fur-babies are asleep on me and I've put cooking programs on again! Ive been looking at Frugal Jo on YouTube she's got a few good tips and is living on a teeny budget for shopping and does really well. Need to research instant pot recipes, still haven't ever used it.
Think thats all, just checked for surveys but none for now. Do still need to go to tesco for top up, will go with my £20 in hand.3 -
I do have a diary...must try harder..it’s my mantra. This link will hopefully work https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/78299313#Comment_78299313
I’m so glad the look worked...it must have been a Paddington hard stare, the one Aunt Lucy uses when someone forgets their manners 😁
Your food sounds incredibly saintly...I’ve just had a bag of wotsits, an apple and a chocolate eclair 😖
if you like American stuff there’s a YouTube lady called debtkickinmom who did some videos on her meal planning, living frugally and using everything up which I found fun to watch.Surveys have been thin on the ground for a few days...Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

@WinterWarrior love another diary to read. I will pop over! I will also check her out on YouTube! I’ve got that bit more time at the moment as I’m not hanging about at the gym. Granted I should be studying or tidying, but doing morning is lovely, and the cats are very much enjoying being snuggled up with me. And as for ‘the look’, oh it was a good one! Unfortunately for those who cross Me. I have a very expressionate face. You can tell exactly what I’m thinking well before I go to speak!
I've just had a bagel with cheese and a chocolate digestive bar, so not at all saintly. I have dug out the Earl grey tea and am drinking that instead of getting coffee. Although I may get OH to bring me one home from work as it’s ‘free’.Right I need to have a word with myself as I keep putting things off. I stupidly ordered £150 of gym clothes about 2 weeks ago! God knows why! So I need to send those back! I also need to sort car insurance and work insurance as both are due. Aaaaand I need to look at finances and really tighten them up. It’s all good and well is trying to buy the house etc. But I also need to pay my tax bill of £2k in July, of which I have only just remembered! Soooo finger out of behind and get sorted.4 -
Morning Missy. I'm catching up on diaries while I can't sleep. So sorry to hear DH is feeling a bit grumpy. How would he react if you suggested he talk it over with his doctor? May help if he can offload to someone else and he may need a little big of help from them.
Good to hear about the House. Hope it all goes smoothly and it belongs to you soon.
Glad you are managing a bit more time for you. I don't know how you were keeping up with everything before xLBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Hey @charlies_tribe so lovely to see you! And thank you for the suggestions, OH will NOT talk to a Dr, he’s one of these that very rarely goes to a Dr for anything let alone something that would, in his head only, make him seem weak. That being said, I spoke to his sister in law yesterday, I didn’t say much, but his brother rang last night and they chatted so that’s a little better. He was still a first class &@%# (insert any word you wish here 😁) when he got home yesterday. He apologised, again, I said I just wish he didn’t need to say sorry, but thanked him for his apology 🙄.Yesterday was rather busy after I picked the children up. Didn’t go to Tesco, we came home and did homework, May made muffins all by herself! Well I was there and oversaw but was very careful not to interfere. Not bad for 7! Whilst Roo inanely talked at me for half an hour about Minecraft. Then we all made one of the recipes from
my mealplan, spiced jambalaya...... which due to too much fennel no one liked but me. Rather disappointed as it took ages, and made me wonder why I’m wasting my time trying to make new and healthy things when I may as well
just stick to the old stuff 🤦🏻♀️.
Up early as OH has gone off to work and I have a PT in half an hour. Not a fan of getting up this early but at least it’s sunny! I have a wash load to do, which hopefully I can get on the line! I need to make everyone’s packed lunches. OH hasn’t thought to take himself any lunch it would Seem! I’m going to the gym for 9, packed lunch in hand. Then home for a sleep as I’m on the late shift tonight.Should really do some studying, definitely need to Hoover! Going to task OH with dinner, will have to be omelette or similar as he won’t be able to make any of the other recipes. Feeling somewhat disheartened by my meal plan now. Not sure I’m going to be able to pull it off!Anyway, must get dressed. Hope you’re all ok?2 -
Well done May!
Missy - honestly don't give up on your meal plans. Keep going, its only by trial and error where you'll work out what works for you and your family.
Just a thought on your study - set yourself a timer for 30 mins. Turn off all the distractions and boom there you go a 30 mins peace and doing something worthwhile for you. I need to get back into my studies too.2025 financial goals & challenges!

Not having the best day, and am rather grumpy, Time of the month has appeared a day early, Nice. Did a workout at the gym, of which I was rubbish at! I'm so unfit when it comes to running!! OH is still mildly grumpy. Accountant has done my accounts, so we're further forward but I have got to find £5.5K by next January. Ex has told me he's going away on Tuesday for 4 weeks. which is great I'll see the children more but cue much less sleep, less time, more mess, and I need to have the conversation with Ex about restarting maintenance but I know he's going to be an absolute $%£@ about it. I feel really sick just thinking about it. The CMA were no help when i spoke to them before.
Trying to relax and breathe, but everything is just so stressful at the moment. Have no idea how I'm going to deal with stuff.3 -
Keep on keeping going...things always get better!
You have goals to aim for and you will reach them...your diary friends have faith in you ⭐️No advice about the ex, I only have really bad experiences to recount. If they don’t want to pay they always find a way not to...shame on them! It’s worth continuing to try for it, but you can’t count on it sadly 😖
It’s good news that your accountant has sorted your books and you did a work out today! Go you...it’s much more than I’ve managed! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
