Also did a money update today and I was going to be £112 short this month but I’ve just had a membership for £48, so just need £64. Have had a nutrition enquiry and I have also had a school get in contact as some of their girls went to a class I taught at the university a while back and they’d like me to come into their school and teach some PE classes 😳. Scary but good!4

That would be brilliant @missymoo81 because it would be regular income if they want you to do regularly PE classes and also fit in well with school holidays. I'm sure it is a bit scary but once you get started you know what you're doing so you'll be fine, you won't even think about it!

OK... so OH is at work, and I'm sat watching gardeners world with a cuppa. Well it's been a tough few weeks. This is my first normal weekend for what seems like forever. I did my course last weekend and ended up spending more money on parking and food than i expected. Me and OH have something coming up over the coming months which will cost a lot in fine and in legal fees, probably close to £2000. The car is more than a bit broken, and will cost around £1200, and as of last night my W/M has decided to trip the electrics every time I switch it on! I've tried no heat, different programs but it still does it. So thats around £300 for a new one unless I can get it fixed, but its 3.5 years old so not sure how long a life W/M have now.
So we need to find £3500, from nowhere!!! The 5 days work will pay for £1000, OH said he would find the money for the car. The garage across the road from work said he will try and do what he can on the price.
Me and OH have been really struggling with the lack of money, and we've had some awful arguments, OH pretty much walked out on Friday night...... It's mostly because we're tired and stressed and haven't been communicating and misunderstandings have crept in. OH has taken on 5 days more work, which is great, but I won't see him at all, which makes me feel really sad and the fine etc is my fault so feel really responsible. I think we're ok, just hate feeling like this. Ex goes away today so I have the children full time for 2 weeks, which i love but is obviously more expensive in food etc.
I need to find a way to make lots more money. Have just chased up two possible memberships. Going to put some more things on Ebay today, I'd love to do 10 but I'll have an aim for 5 so I don't feel overwhelmed by the task. I need to go shopping as we have no food, I'm going to go to lidl and I'm going to pay in £1 coins and they're just going to have to deal with it! Will make a list.2 -
Hugs Missy, life sounds tough xxx
Just wanted to say about the washing machine - ours is 19 years old and counting, so don't necessarily give up! And you'll be able to get a functional one from freegle, or a charity shop or something, so don't necessarily assume you need to pay £300.
Hope things work out. Relationships are tricky at the best of times, and money worries always create tension xx1 -

I have one plug socket that trips the electric if it’s used for high power things, so it may be worth plugging your wm in another socket just to make sure it is the machine and not the socket itself? I can’t vacuum from that plug, but I can put a fan on with it…I have no idea what causes it. Also you tube and google are amazing sometimes, have you tried typing in ‘why does my washer trip the electric?’, it may produce some easy fixes.Do you have any insurance that covers legal help in the small print? Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Definitely try one of the second hand options for a washing machine, even if it just lasts a year or so until the immediate pressure is off. At 3.5 years though it should be repairable which again would be cheaper than buying new.
