Ooh, happy birthday! Hope it was unconventional in a good way!1

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes. After working for 3 x12 hour shifts with no breaks and 2 hour drive home me and OH are absolutely wacked after the weekend. I Picked the children up last night and did the whole first day of school wonderfulness this morning. But have slept on and off most of the day.I’ve been to Lidl though and spent my free £10 and got my free birthday cookie, which I shared with the children! Shopping came to £26 for the week! Decided not to have an Indian take away tonight as my birthday treat, as it would have been around £40 and I don’t even think they deliver around here. And to be honest I don’t think it’s too dissimilar to the one we make at home, as I only ever have a korma. OH is going to make a Korma, I got poppadoms, naan and pilau rice etc when I went to lidl. Think I’ve got enough stuff for the week, could do with making some banana bread though. Also
im away on a course all weekend as is OH, so not sure what I’ll do about food. I’ve got porridge pots and bananas for breakfast, but lunch and dinner I’ll have to buy as there’s no fridge. Actually, thinking about it. I could take a salad bowl thing for Friday night. And then OH is coming down for Saturday night and he’ll get dinner. So it’s just lunch. I’ll see what’s near by as it’s London.
Oh and I got my hot tub! Feel
a bit bad posting this as it’s not money saving! We got a small one with an insulated lid and mat, so it’s not on the cold ground, in the hope it is more economical to run. OH has just set it all up for me and it should be ready to go in tomorrow! Very excited! It is my one extravagance. I always push presents etc away and feel bad for wanting them. But I work hard and never ask for anything and look after everybody all of the time, that I thought actually I do deserve something nice! I got a few cards and things and lots of hugs and good wishes too which was lovely. They did a big announcement at the event and gave me an orchid and a little cake. It’s rather daunting having 1000 people singing happy birthday to you! But also very lovely!Anyway back to normal life, I’m looking at my budgets again. My eBay things sold, and I think I made about £70! So I will post those tomorrow. I need to write a list of things to do as this week is super busy.
Tuesday - washing, post office, print off course, program.
Weds - 6am work, school run, home, program, read course notes, 2pm train, 3pm school run, 4-5.30 work. evening Friend round
Thurs - school run, train 0930, coffee & program x 2 and read course materials, 3pm school run. 1945 work.Fri - 6am work, school run with bags for sleepover, coffee with friend, train maybe, home and pack, sort cats and go to London for course!
Sorry lots of info you don’t need to know but makes it easier that I know what I’m doing and where everything is!

The chemicals are expensive for the tub but if you find a big Poundland they’ve brought a range out 😀Sealed pot challenge 822

Ah thank you all so much. I am LOVING the hot tub, as I said before I know it’s a huge extravagance and I feel bad about talking about it. But I’ll just quickly mention it now and then not again. We went in it yesterday during the day and lats night and the children had a go too. And I just feel so relaxed when I’m in it! Slept really well too. So hopefully it’s going to help me sleep too. So happy with it, and thanks @dawnybabes I will check out Poundland as we have a big one in the city!
ok so I’m up and at em early today, have work in half an hour but it’s from home so not too bad. I’ve just made myself a big cuppa. So plans for today:
wednesday - work, make packed lunches, school run, charge iPads, washing, pack eBay stuff, post eBay stuff, chill in garden and program and read course notes. Shower then In Work for 2pm, train, pick up children, train, work 4-5.30, feed children left over lasagne…. Put children to bed, friend round, done! How are your Wednesdays looking, I just wrote Monday! Not sure what I was thinking?!2 -
You sound so upbeat @missymoo81 so the hot tub definitely sounds like a good thing for you particularly if it's going to help you sleep. Personally I can't see any point to them! We had one in a holiday lodge we went to a couple of years ago and just didn't find it did anything for us!
Good luck with finding the stuff you need in Poundland as the "brand" stuff will obviously cost a huge amount more!
Looks like a busy day again but hopefully it won't feel as bad as usual now that you are more relaxed after a good night's sleep.

On no, don’t do Monday again! 😁
Talk about the hot tub as much as you like, it’s new, it’s yours and you are enjoying it…that’s a good thing and you should be able to share the joy with us 😁🥰Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Thank you so much @joedenise @WinterWarrior I feel much better this week! Despite having a cold, school run, work etc but I just sat in the garden last night and felt happy. Weirdly I’ve also stopped biting my nails, so something had definitely switched in my head but not sure what. Don’t get me wrong, OH got up at 5 and is away for 5 days and I’m super tired from being up early but everything feels manageable at the moment. House is a tip though, so need to sort that!1
