Hey @dawnybabes thanks for that. I got over £1 today on there. I do bits and pieces. I need to check it more. I never have time to do the long ones. But the small ones add up. I just need to keep an eye out for them.

So it’s Sunday today! I’m up, cuppa in hand. So today I need to delve into the finances see where we’re at. Go shopping, get my friend a birthday gift and drop it off, absolutely no idea what to get. Everything is so expensive, it’s a 50th and don’t want to just get a bottle of champagne. Maybe I could make up a little hamper type thing….. I also need to tidy up, sort ALL of the clothes, there are mountains of clean washing. Both front and rear gardens need mowing.Going to catch up on the diaries for inspiration. I read lots of your lovely diaries, but has anyone got any inspirational diaries or blogs on surviving on very little?1

Hi Missy,
What about a personalised print / birthday card for your friend. There are some lovely ones on Etsy. Flowers and candles are pretty easy and lovely gifts to receive.

Thanks @Queen_of_the_Hive. Will have a look.Just had a look at prices of shopping and wow the really cheap things seem to have disappeared from Tesco. Like the cheap jam, rice, sausages etc. Not sure if it’s just my closest store or all of them?!2

Ah I’ve typed so many replies! But haven’t pressed Send in time.
I’m still super struggling. Ive had to spend money as it’s the holidays, and I’m trying to fill it with fun things for the children. I took them shopping which was a mistake and ended up buying them body boards and wet suits only cheap ones from Tesco’s but! And spending loads on shopping, as had to get cat food. Then we went to the cinema yesterday, I was good, and parked for free, and o went to the £1 shop to buy popcorn and a drink, but that came to £13 as I gave the children their pocket money too. Feel sick about it all.it feels a bit endless at the moment. I’m paying someone to look after my shift so I don’t have to drag the children to work again. It’s all money and expense I can do without. I can just feel it all mounting up. I’m running around like crazy and it’s only day 3 of the holidays!!!!

Ok so apart from getting someone to cover my shift. I have not spent any money today. We even had a picnic and I made muffins as we didn’t have any treats. Although I forgot the baking powder so they were super flat, but I did use up 2 little Easter eggs in it. Was
meant to be spending the evening with my friend but it didn’t happen so we’re hone, and as much as I would love to not do Dinner. I’m going to make toad in the hole. I haven’t had it for such a long time.I’m going to try and make the food last for the rest of the week. But I have a feeling we’re going to run out of bread, cheese and crisps. So approx £3.I’ll make chilli tomorrow for 2 nights worth. I could also make something with the chicken I have….1 -
