Does anyone know what is the best place to obtain Microsoft Excel. At the moment I am using a Trial Version of Microsoft Office. The cheapest I have seen this is 40 pounds in PC World. Is it better to download a shareware? Please let me know. I have some jobs booked and might have to hit the shops.0

I did a job tonight at a off license and when they handed me my change they did not give me a receipt, I stepped to the side of the counter to count my change and realised and the staff started serving the next person in the queue. I politely mentioned that i didn't get a receipt and could I have one and I was told that I did not ask for one and as he had started to serve someone else it wasn't possible to give me one. After a polite discussion the only thing the counter staff could do was to hand write me a receipt with receipt number on price, his name time and date - do you think this will be ok? I've never been to a show and not got a receipt before and I hadn't even left the counter so I don't see what else I could have done.Keeper of 2 children, 2 dogs, 2 cats & thankful that you can only have 1 husband at a time.0

I'm sure that will be fine. They only need it as proof that you've been there, and that's what you've got. Scan it in and send it off as usual! We’ve had to remove your signature. There is a free alternative called OpenOffice that you can download, it can deal with Excel spreadsheets also. I think this is the link:

That's what I wanted to write but I didn't have the guts to do it
I thought long and hard before I wrote it (and I was feeling grumpy!) and sorry to the OP if she really was asking if it is worth looking for jobs in these areas.
But there are always loads of jobs in London.....
.....and they are ALL MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl: (If only!)

Yep you just go there, order and wait.... no phoning involved - take a paper to read as you'll be sitting opposite the server for 10 minutes while you wait!0

Hi,
I forgot to ask for a receipt once - I was outside on the pavement before I remembered. I went back in and asked but they staff said the same thing.
It was totally my fault, but I explained what had happened whilst writing up m report, fully expecting to not be reimbursed.
But I was - they paid in full!
Hopefully you'll be fine. :beer:Mortgage Free as of 03/07/2017 :beer:0 -
