The guessing game is pointless. You may as well just name the client and be done with it. The end result is the same. The clues are not 'quite hard' they are very simple. :D

Many people seem to think that Mystery Shopping is a bit of a laugh and a way to make easy money and they treat it as a joke.

Mystery Shopping is a serious business, not just for the client but also for the employee who is being shopped.

Many of the posts on this thread make it clear why some Mystery Shopping companies can get away with paying peanuts ..........

I booked for the full argument, I think you'll find. Not just contradiction.:D

Students do pay tax, it's just they generally don't earn enough.

You're still treated like a normal person as far as registering goes so sadly the paperwork still stands!

Its a myth. When I was a student I got taxed as I earnt too much, even went for a meeting with the tax office to discuss a rebate and they said would get one as I had earnt too much cash. Was a little upset when I walked away as I thought I would get a nice check for over £800. :(

    Good for you.
  • same here jubaxt and I have not had the email with the logins for the assignment either. I was going to give it to the end of today and then I will e-mail them.

    hi Jubaxt and cookinmummy

They are normally very good but when this happened to me I emailed Mary/Lannette at kern. They had a copy of the email from AQ which said it had copied to me but it hadn't. The best you can do is email as soon as poss, but bear in mind you can't book the test when there's no availability so it's not always poss to get the date/time you want. You also need to call the day or so before (although this isn't queried on the questionnaire;)) to check if they're expecting you.

Has anyone done any mystery shopping flights? I have been given the opportunity of a long haul flight during a tentative enquiry to a company I have worked for just six months!

I certainly don't want to make any mistakes on a £600 flight, does anyone have any pointers on how to do a successful mystery flight?

Don't know if anyone would be interested in this but Everards pubs are looking for mystery shoppers - not entireley sure how the payment works but think it's vouchers or just reimbursement of the meals.

    The website is here http://me2.everards.co.uk/signup/

I have mentioned the name as it is the pub chain themselves who are looking for people, not via a MS company.

Most of the jobs are around the midlands. None for me in Leeds I'm afraid!

I did one last year - the form is more simple than sneezing - and it doesn't make your eyes water!

I recommend anyone who's near an Everards pub should sign up - it's what MSing should be!

Pointless? I think not. I know for a fact that Tractorgirl shopped a cup of coffee this morning on the strength of my 'quite hard' clue. Plus, nobody actually thanked me. No, no, really. It's fine really. All go 'free' shopping at the Residence of The Scottish One From Dad's Army thanks to me... :A

Nobody actually thanked you? Sorry, I dont like to be pedantic, but several people DID thank you. For example,

Newmoneysaver said: Thanks auntypog. I'll remember to bring you an apple in next week

TractorGirl (ie me) said: Thanks, I hadn't got that one, have just applied and got a job in their cafe for Monday (which I actually then had to cancel as my boy was ill)

    cranezoe said: lol! thanks. :)

Plus Josie thanked you by clicking the button

OK, quick question about TNS. Did a job for them this morning where I had to visit a supermarket and 2 of its competitors. Had to spend £3 in each but spent a lot more as I split my weeks shopping into 3!

Anyhow ... travelling costs ... can I claim the full amount for each assignment - ie to that shop & back from my house? I've got a full questionnaire to fill in for each.

    Thanks,
    TG
