I hope I don't have to do that on long haul where the baggage allowance maybe in excess of 40kg!

I still have the bricks!! For a small fee I can hire them out to you.:rotfl:

    Help! (please :))

Im trying to do my report online for RE and I have got to the last page of the questionnaire and then when I click submit on that page a box comes up that says "your report is being verified" or something similar and then it doesnt do anything! I've tried it a couple of times and in explorer and firefox but still nothing.

No one in the office - they have all gone home.
Did you click the save work bit the hit submit. It should then have a box saying saving work with a blue line running through it giving you percentage figures. Their software is rubbish and this happens often. Do what I do and phone them in the morning so they know about it. They will say "Oh I will report it to our IT dept and contact you later" They won't phone back so go in again later. Call up the assignment go back into Enter report and try it again. And don't let them deduct points for late entry of results.

Hmm, maybe they took it from me! ;)

I accepted a job with a premium fee, but asked them to change the timeframe for me. When they had put the job into my account the premium fee was gone! And they haven't replied to my email about it yet either...

This is odd. I just checked it again and I have a premium fee. No idea why as it is available up till this Friday. Can someone help me with it though. When I click fee it just briefly mentions the monthly spend amount, and mentions re the scenario. I have only ever done one job for them before. Same mobie shop. Where is the scenario though???

Am off to bingo doing a MS. Maybe I will win the National ( about 1 million). :rotfl:The donate my fee to charity.:T

It will be in the gumpf text in the questionnaire itself. can you webexpress it yet? If you go in and print off a copy of the questionnaire it should all become clearer.
  • Had a terrible couple of days with MS, had to cancel a Gfk bank as couldnt make it due to time running out, then car broke today and I couldnt make two burger jobs that i had promised to do last minute, then I couldnt get through on a bank call for Grassroots.

Can anyone else share their horror stories about individual days / shops?

Very good point about checking-in online for MS flights; it may not be an acceptable scenario!

Luckily, no visa is required for UK citizens to my destination; if it was necessary I am sure that MS companies would give preference to those who already have a visa, as there is never any gurantee that you will be granted a visa. For those who already have a multiple entry visa I don't think they would pay more than the cost of a single entry visa. But this is only an assumption.

What I am not clear about is how much choice I would have over dates and how much notice I would get. I think there is a possibility that the flight may be business class.

I had not considered what would happen if I fell ill before the flight but I think they work on a 3 month cycle for the flights so someone else would always be able to 'fill the breach'. I understand that, typically, 100 people would apply for the flight I am interested in. I would always take out insurance anyway (following Martin's advice of course).

One thing is certain, those with high shopper scores get priority on MS flights but I do not know if those assigning these jobs have immediate access to shopper scores. So, if you have good shopper scores it may be worth noting this in an e-mail or bringing it to the project manager's attention if they contact you on another matter. At the time I expressed an interest my average score was 9.2/10 and I had never scored less than 8/10 in all the shops I had done for the company.

I certianly do not want to make a mess of such an important shop and I wonder if shoppers make notes on board the plane, in the airport etc?

Easy learning to drive- I am still currently writing up a car shop that was supposed to be two visits across five days. That was four weeks ago and after three visits and three phone calls to the branch involved - as well as a trillion emails to the ms company - I am atlast beginning to fill out the questionnaire. Which in itself is a joke as the survey does not allow for the saga response that I have!

All of this for a fee, which had appeared fair at first, but now just seems measley for the giant headache this ms has been!

On the upside I was supposed to do an ms on sunday and got there to find the shop shut (i should have checked opening hours, but didnt as all the other shops in the town were open so assumed incorrectly) - thought darn I've travelled miles and I will get it in the neck. BUT, the ms company said that they should have not allowed me to select that day if the shop does not open on a Sunday and have paid me the full wack for going. Some of the ms companys are brill if you are honest and upfront :D

I had to cancel several shops due to haemorrhoids. I am sure the MS company had a good laugh at that one but they were very understanding (I had 5 jobs with that one company). I just did not want to mark down the bank for having red marks on a blue chair!
