hi, newbie to this MS lark so just wondering about a couple of things..
i have registered with quite a few companies, as that seems to be the thing to do having read as much as i can of this thread. What I am not sure about is when or how often I should be checking the websites for jobs.
Also, I have noticed that peopel talk about RE jobs quite a lot but i have never found any near me, so if anyone can offer me a tip or two on that i would be grateful.
I am based in Cornwall so not exactly the centre of the universe where MS is concerned so i have to really work at it to find the jobs i think.New to Mystery Shopping and looking to improve my income somehow...in sunny Cornwall0 -
I've just joined TNS and put in my area and there are no jobs in the next few months, so I did a search nationwide, and still no jobs, so I'm now thinking that I'm not doing it properly, can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong pls? TIA0

As I only recently joined Gap ( just out of curiosity seeing the funny posts on here) I haven't really explored the site yet. What is webexpress.???Clique member no 1.:D0 -

I actually did a number-phone competitor store the other day which didn't specify a scenario anywhere, which was quite useful because I am looking for a new phone (and can't go in 9/10 of the phone stores in my high street....I'm too much of a regular!).
I booked an urgent job with TNS yesterday and had to ask for extra mileage; it wasn't much but I was wondering if they are ever negotiable on the fee if things are desperate...?
Does anyone know if I can send several lots of train tickets back to GfK in the same envelope, or do they like it all separate?
Re gfk train jobs they do need to go in separate envelopes as they match up with the separate vin numbers. You know the form you print from the questionnaire where you fill in your details and vin number etc.
TNS are a pretty reasonable company and so I would be upfront and ask politely. They can only say no and I know from the many eamils I get from them where they are desperate they say they will negotiate additional fees for expenses. Got a desperate 2...1 for Galway!!! and 1 for Wales and to stay in Wales a few days. Wee bit far from Glasgow both these places.:rotfl:Clique member no 1.:D0 -

I really hope (but really doubt) that the answers are saved and I don't have to do it all again tomorrow
Fingers crossed for you and me cranezoe, and anyone else who was thinking about submitting an RE report tonight - DON'T!!!
One time they changed the software and next day it was all kaput. I found you couldn't type in the boxes as the type was going over the line. I phoned and they said they would get IT to check.4 hours later I found a way round it by clicking above the box and it worked. Now this site has gone wonky cos I only clicked the italic on one word and it won't go off. Anyway I kicked up such a fuss by saying it was hardly wrth all the time I spent doing a report twice so just release the job and get someone else to do it and they doubled my fee.:rotfl:Clique member no 1.:D0 -

If you click on "visit search" then leave the county as "all" and the job type as "all" everything available in the country should be displayed. Some things have age limits so you won't see everything but I can see over 500 jobs on there at the moment.0 -

It's the bit where you (attempt) to answer the questions for each job. For GAP you don't "complete the questionnaire" but "express your assignment"...0 -

1) check the website as much as you can - keep checking as most of them are fastest finger first and don't warn you when they're about to release jobs
2) RE's system is (and has always been to some extent) pants. SO - instead of programming in your local areas and clicking "available assignments", click "search assignments" and then type in your local area.
3) If you're in Cornwall, register with GAP and ask to join their coffee client scheme - Cornwall's branch(es) are constantly paying the highest premiums on GAP's site! It's obvious they don't have any other coffee shoppers there.
Happy shopping!0
