Congrats on the new job Hollypear. I'd be grateful if you could PM me also, thanks.

And if anyone wants me to refer them for anything please feel free to PM me as well - happy to help if poss. I registered with as many MS/Survey sites as possible but only if they have a privacy policy on their site or they have confirmed that my details are in safe hands via phone or email.

I'm doing a supermarket job for TNS tomorrow where I have to visit the supermarket itself, and 2 of its competitors

Can't find anywhere where it says what I have to purchase, just that I must spendat least £3 - does this mean I can buy what I like?

    Thanks

Has anybody done the TNS supermarket/cafe/petrol station yet, or at least got an idea of what the new questionnaire is like - I am worried because I have just accepted one and am wondering if it is a real mission like I have heard some of theirs can be...
Smile ! And pass it on..

No it's fine really - reasonably worth the fees (as long as you claim the max for each section, which I always get away with!) and takes around 30 mins. Just have your paper in place to make notes!

If they don't specify what to buy it usually means you can buy what you like.

Assuming it's the biggest supermarket chain, then yes, you can buy what you want. The thing I always find confusing with the TNS questionnaire for this one is that on screen it tells you which section to visit, but seems to list all the sections in the print out. Consequently I always end up asking in every dept when I prob only need to do a few.

So, I'd mark on from the screen which areas you particularly need to visit.

    Hi everyone
I've applied to TNS, no word back yet so probably getting a little ahead of myself but going to ask anyway!
The first post on this thread mentions registering as self employed etc. if you're a mystery shopper. As a full-time student do I need to do this because I don't pay any tax, as far as I know...

    Thank for any answers!

Students do pay tax, it's just they generally don't earn enough.

You're still treated like a normal person as far as registering goes so sadly the paperwork still stands!

Now that I've finally got it (:o ), perhaps it should be 'Residence for Scottish Dad's Army character'

Only cos I'm a stickler for spelling (no "i" in team and no "i" for the doctor either. Yeah, ok, it's just me, cos it took me a while to get it, I know!!:p

You are so right. That extraneous i was bugging me, too.
