Thanks Holly and Cookinmummy that's really helpful.
Yeah Holly if you could PM with who you work for, tips etc that'd be great! I'm trying to get all my debts paid off asap before I take any time off too am taking pretty much everything I can get at the moment, doing shops in my lunch break from my regualr job and packing out my diary for weekends as much as possible! If you'r going to do it you might as well do it properly!!0 -
Hollypear would you be so kind as to pm me too, my paid maternity leave is about to end and I have decided I'm not going back, so I need to justify my existance0

Hollypear could you pm me too please?0

Sorry to butt in folks and I know I don't post lots but I wonder, Hollypear, if you could pm me details too? I'm going to Canada next month and am trying to get together as much spending money as poss! I've often wondered if it was possible to make any decent money from MSing and you seem to be doing exactly what I want to do. I'd be so grateful if you could let me know.0

I do sympathise cookingmummy. I wish I had a pound for the times I have seen DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN with you. I don't have children just 2 dogs!!! but I think for a lot of shops that is a bit unfair. It is as if they think if you have taken the children your brain won't function.
I have children and I fully understand the no children rule.
Excluding sleeping babies, when you have children with you, you can never give 100% attention to the job as you are constantly watching them to see what they are up to. Even if they are in a buggy and bribed with a biscuit, you still glance to check they are ok, breaking eye contact with the staff member. It's unfair on the sales assistant if you are not paying full attention.
The conversation flow can be interrupted by a child asking a question or pointing something completely irrelevant out ("ooh look there's a lady in a coat like yours", "is it nearly dinner time yet?", "I need a wee" etc.)
Even the most well behaved children have off days when they are badly behaved, and it's not fair on store staff if they are trying to explain things while your child is having a tantrum or generally misbehaving.
Some jobs like mobile phone enquiries or travel agent jobs go on far too long for a child, and are more likely to play up because they are bored.
I have done some jobs with my children in tow, but it is much easier doing jobs without them and I personally feel a do a better job alone. Here I go again on my own....0 -
I've just joined lots of survey sites and one mystery shopping group, if anyone knows of others that operate in Spain I would much appreciate a PM!0

Do RE ever pay premium rates for jobs at the last minute?
I've just noticed a couple of jobs that have gone back on the site which need to be done either today or tomorrow, but the fee is the same as usual ( and not enough for me to go do them! )0 -
Does any one know the number for TNS HR? I only did one assignment for them before they changed the employment status thingy and I have not received my p45 yet. Now I need that for my dreaded tax return that I am trying to complete. I have tried emailing my regional controller but I have not had a reply since a week ago. Does anyone know who I should contact about this?
thanks.0 -
