I had a problem before with a post one when it wouldn't accept as valid one of the cards on their picklist. In the end I put other and wrote a comment at the end- I didn't hear anything more and next time I did the same job the form worked OK so might just be teething problems with a new report form. I'd suggest put some / anything to get the report submitted and then highlight the problem in the comments. Is it one where it specifies how you have to pay? And is it OK to pay by cash - that could be the problem...

They do have work in London - about 3 restaurants and 2 hotels. You cannot do them more than twice a year. The pay is not much, they reimburse in full but demand a minute-by-minute account of the visit - sometimes up to 10,000 words.

    Not worth it!

This firm is way out of the league for anyone who :

    1) Hasn't been mystery shopping for at least 5 years
    2) Carn't spell
    3) Looks out of place in a 5* restaurant\bar
    4) Can't wait 4-6 weeks to be reimbursed £200 meals\drinks
    5) Thinks mystery shopping is an easy way to earn loads of money ;)

  • I have been working for GAP, Retails Eyes and GfK for about 3 months now, and love reading this site. However, I would love to join the mysteryshoppersuk.com website but it is asking for a referrer (username). Does anyone use this site and can let me have their username so that I can join?

hi like redcar, I've had a few problems with these. A stamp place usually. I ended up putting other and reported it. I agree, I think the main thing is to get it uploaded asap and then you can let them know about the queries.

Fortunately the last few I've done for this place haven't mentioned cards. Although the questions make you come across as some sort of stupid, incompetent person who's very disorganised!! Anyone who's done this lot will know what I'm talking about - duh!

Just had my reminder through from HMRC so it prompted me to catch up on my records and I was just thinking, I include petrol at 40p per mile, but presumably I can also claim back car park charges. Do you think it'd be necessary to have a parking ticket / receipt to back this up, or could I just calculate in the 60p minimum it would have cost me to park?

    TIA
    Josie

Yes you can claim back car parking I think but it is best that you keep all your receipts for everything you pay out. Just incase.

Ah well, just a thought. Of course, being a true MSE'er I always hunt out the free parking, anyway.:D
