    Quick tax question
GAP work that I have completed in March and will be paid in April which tax year does this come under. Does it come under 2008/2009?

Nope - 2007/08; it has to be when the work was done, not money received (sadly!)

    It's the matching concept ;)

Don't make me come round there and insist you use an expensive accounting software package! :D

well I think that I might need some kind of software package, also what paperwork do I need to keep all of it or just the front cover of them.

I don't keep any of the MSing company's paperwork; just the invoices my system produces and the receipts I collect when shopping. You could keep the front cover if you wish; it'll help later on if you're not using a system otherwise....

I have sort of a system but I think that it could be time to buy some software that I can use

Help I just got signed up to RE done my first job which was a sports retailer. I thought the whole purpose of describing people was because it states in questionnaire that staff do not wear name badges so I gave descriptions in detail of staff appearance. Now I have been familiarising myself with MS reading this thread (EVERY PAGE) Wah and noticed in the recent couple of pages that someone asked how would you find out someones name for the report when they dont wear badges? Does this mean I was expected to find out and have misunderstood the brief as I was the only person in the store and would have thought asking names for all 3 members of staff I dealt with would have made it very obvious who I was. Worried now :(

    Hi,

I had a look on the website and it says you need to fill in the application form AND take copies of your CV. Do you really need both and if so do you list all your work experience or just the relevant bits? (I have lots of non-relevant bits on my current CV because it's for my main job!)

    Many thanks,

    Lola :)

Yes, you need both. The application form goes to Stuck For Staff and the CV's go the the agencies you want to talk to. On my CV, I listed the companies I have worked for as a main job (the ones before kids) and then I listed the Field Work companies who I have merchandised and audited for, I also put some Mystery Shopping Companies down, but was selective and missed off GAP, RE and Frontline Focus but included Service Scan, Optimum Contact and Retail Maxim. Some didn't make any comment about previous work experience, but two agencies mentioned the fact I work for companies who require more than a tick box answer which went down well with them. :D
