Due to last minute cancellations, JKS are urgently seeking shoppers aged 18 to 21 years of age to make simple ID check visits in the areas above (TS16 and YO14 postcodes). The visits involve visiting a store, purchasing either alcohol or tobacco, and reporting back on whether ID is requested as proof of age, and other simple observations (cleanliness, tidiness etc)

These visits need to be made TODAY, any time during store opening hours. Most stores open until 10pm! You will need to complete a simple online report via your JKS account (link to sign up is above) immediately after your visit.

If you can help, or know somebody in the right age range who may be interested, please contact me ASAP!

We offer a fee and can offer mileage expenses of 25p/mile up to a maximum of £10 per store if you can make a visit today.

    Thanks very much :)

No all it said was that if there was noone at the service desk for this department to find someone on the shop floor. There were no service desks at all apart from the one customer service area which I spoke to last.

The way the shop was laid out is that the clothing department was upstairs, took up the whole floor. I managed to find someone working on the floor there. However the other departments were all downstairs and out of the three departments there was noone for over 10 minutes, I walked around the entire floor. I evaluated the service by reporting that there was no service available. Even at the customer service desk they did not know why there was noone there.

Oh, ok ... Well, I don't think I would give up appealing. You have done what you could do. It shouldn't be your problem that the supermarket didn't have enough staff. :undecided

As mentioned a couple of pages back; if you've done your job (and have the printed paperwork to prove it) as they asked you to, sue them.

They should not be able to get away with this kind of thing and people threatening court action should work towards sorting them out!

As for the RE sandwich shop fees, it's a disgrace! The report for them has thankfully become easier than it was 6 months ago although you now have to ask for a receipt (not a giveaway at all then!) and there are still those four questions at the end where one is never sure whether they mean about that shop in particular or just the chain! Some (like me) have a nice saved document with pre-written answers which I copy and paste into the questionnaire! :D

With RE and the fee cut - the jobs are hanging around longer than normal. They are going very slowly. It is a 20% pay cut - would you except that in your regular job !? I think not. I think however fast you are with the questionnaire, it still takes time - upload this, scan that, questionaire - takes a good 30 mins.

I was going to email them and tell them how I feel about the pay cuts - sadly I daren't as I'll be too angry at their response, which'll be "if you don't like it, don't work for us"!

Anyway, it's Grand National weekend this weekend so I'll be placing ~£100 free bets (hopefully!) and winning lots more than a few quid of MSing like normal weekends!

I keep telling them what I think about their fees ... and yes, that is pretty much the response I get. I am not getting tired of telling them though. It doesn't help if we don't keep telling them. They have been told by me that I'm doing this to earn money, not to support their business or the companies I'm visiting.

Next time I'll complain I'll ask them what they would say if their salary would be cut but the work would increase.:mad:

I now mainly do audits for them as I can't afford doing their mystery shops !!!!!!!

That probably will be RE's atitude, which is fine. I have voted with my feet and not taken a job, as have a few others. I am sure they will find people to do the jobs eventually. Good luck with the betting, put a £1 on Contraband - its 500-1, :rotfl: can you imagine if it won. I very much doubt it.

GAP coffee reimbursement has dropped to exactly the cost of the purchase - the CHEEK!

I used to enjoy getting a little extra on that one! :(

Mystery Outsource allocate all projects on behalf of JKS, including casinos, ID checks, recorded phone calls, health farm visits, a national newspaper (offers etc), fruit juice bars and others. However, not all these projects cover the entire UK.

They are however, keen to recruit more shoppers aged between 18 and 21 years old especially, to undertake ID check visits. If interested, you can register at http://apply.jksmysteryshopping.co.uk

    HTH!

If you apply for this, be careful of hackers!!! The software package which JKS uses to sign you up asks for your DOB and your bank details, in the same unsecured site.

Please note that I am NOT blaming JKS (they are not the only people to use this, and I have pointed it out before about another company on another forum), but whoever designed this software package should be shot!!!

In one of the text boxes on the application form I typed the following.

Please note that I am happy to supply bank details following appointment, but not happy to supply them to an unsecure website such as this where I have already given my date of birth. This is an identity fraud security measure.
