Maximising income - Mystery Shopping? Surveys? (Part Three)

Having just spent just under two hours putting in four reports for this company I am reminded why I do like GAP. As I think someone else pointed out the rate per hour is better for them than companies with very detailed report requirements.
Have you tried Assosia? Many of their reports require just a few words and the pay is quite good too. Admittedly, the work is not regular, but when the works comes it is sometimes possible to earn a quick £60 (from several short jobs). I earned £27 last night and they took my report over the phone because my internet was down.0 -
With the company that has recently had issues with its website, when they have a question which is along the lines of:
"Please give a detailed description of [whatever you've had to do] and add any comments that have not been addressed in the questionnaire."
How much do you write? I saw there was a 50 word minimum, but I wrote a couple of paragraphs. What would you all say is about right?
Cheers.43580 -
In regards to reports none are as bad as GFK - they want novels written they do!! Worst of all it will not let you submit until word count as been achieved. So so frustrating to say the least and the pay is not that great.
OC are brilliant. The longer the report the better the pay scale which is only fair. Which other companies would take that on board!DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -
I wouldn't mind if OC actually EVER offered me a job!
I must be in a pretty saturated area....0 -

I agree, OC are brilliant. If it were not for the Optimum Contact bulk telephone surveys then mystery shopping as a self-employed person would be impossible for me. OC do like verbose reports but pay accordingly!
It is probably true to say that the better companies to work for (and the ones which pay the most) are those which are least mentioned on a money-saving website! I just cannot figure out why!!!0 -
Hi. Could anyone give me any more information regarding the bulk surveys at Optimum Contact etc. I would love to do something like this but would like further details before applying (If I actually got it
) Is it good value etc, are the survey quite easy to follow etc. I have a DD ad DD but would like to have a part time and wonder whether this would suit.
Hope someone can help-thank you for looking.January Grocery 11/3740 -
I parted company with the Mystery shopping company who has had issues with the website recently after updating it. Yesterday I had a proof reading query which was with the photo, then some how after that the rest of the questionnaire got lost in cyberspace. After having to repeat questionnaires due to info going missing, after submitting, I told them it was an insult to pay an extra £1.50 for the work involved.
Think I will be parting company after today too! I've got a proof reading query on my account, which as far as I'm concerned, I sorted last week (the usual "information mysteriously disappearing into outer space" problem).
I've now e-mailed three times about and received no response. It is difficult for me to phone in the day due to my job, so if I call at lunchtime either no-one answers the phone or it's engaged! By the time I get home their office is shut, so I'm at my wits end now.
I've decided that if I don't hear back from them by the end of today then I'm cancelling my remaining jobs and they can stuff it!
I'm going end up out of pocket now because my expenses aren't correct either, so coupled with the sheer hassle of completing their reports three squillion times, and then chasing them all the time, it just isn't worth it anymore!0 -

Even worse than GfK for wanting a 'novel' written is Storecheckers! I've never come across a company that want such a fine detailed second-by-second narrative of a 90 minute (or more) visit!0
