Sorry if this is in the wrong thread but has anyone else had problems downloading the Assignment notes? It just keeps coming up with an error...

"Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later."

I have contacted them but they say it's must be an error my end :(

Have you tried Assosia? Many of their reports require just a few words and the pay is quite good too. Admittedly, the work is not regular, but when the works comes it is sometimes possible to earn a quick £60 (from several short jobs). I earned £27 last night and they took my report over the phone because my internet was down.

Thanks Paul I've found their site so will give it a go. I don't really mind writing the detailed reports but I like the comments to really add value rather than just repeat the information so thats what frustrates me. I type in my normal job so am quite fast but am still amazed sometimes at how long it takes to write reports.

I might have been imagining it, but I thought I saw in a previous post (quite a while ago) that there is a way on Grassroots' site to add more than the 5 'shopping areas' to your details. I've already used up my 5 but want to add 2 more areas that I would like to be offered assignments in. Does anyone know how to do this (or if in fact it is possible)
  • That's it! I quit!

Got home to find that RE want me to submit a report for the third time. Most of the info got lost along the way when their site was playing up, so I e-mailed the comments again last week, and now it seems they've lost that too, so I'm now completing it for the third time.

Then apparently I've got a client query on another report and now GAP won't pay for a job because apparently I "ordered extra items", which I didn't. It was just the crew member gave me the wrong receipt, and I'd already explained this in an e-mail before submitting the report

It used to be fun but now its far too stressful to be worth the money!

    Three words.

    Small claims court.

    Exactly what I was thinking.

If they've asked you to submit it for the third time, ask them for the fee three times and if they still refuse to pay for the job, sue them.

I'm very aware how easy it is to take someone to court with the right evidence and this is the sort of thing they'd really not want to bother with and would pay what you're asking for at a guess....

If you're going to stop shopping with them then at least force them to pay up, don't let them off!

I know what you mean about repeating! I find it annoying when MS companies seemingly have the same questions in their report sheets. It is a struggle when adding to comments to repeated questions to come up with a new 'angle' on what to say. But, that is half the challenge!

I thought one of the forum rules was not to mention how much we earn from jobs. Am I wrong?

It's not just forum rules, it's in the Ts & Cs of the mystery shopping companies.

Paul, I'd be careful, especially with Assosia who are VERY on the ball and against their work being discussed on open forums (fora?)....

Just wanted to mention that Assosia concentrate more on field marketing than mystery shopping. This usually involves wearing business dress and signing into the store as a visitor to carry out tasks relating to stock.

I just thought I'd mention that as I know most of the people reading this thread prefer mystery shopping work, and it'll probably be a waste of both yours and their time applying if you don't want to do field work.
Here I go again on my own....
