I'm trying to submit a pub assignment and it doesn't seem to be working. Firstly it wouldn't let me move to the last stage of the assignment - I pressed submit and it didn't do anything. Finally when I saved and went back into the assignment it let me submit the receipt but now it is sitting on the 'close job' page and not submitting.

There is this 'new format' they have introduced - is anyone else having trouble with it?
I had the same problems. I'm not happy as I spent ages typing in comments for my report and I don't want to have to do them all again:mad:

I've decided that I'm going to stop shopping for GAP, the site is abysmal and the fees are so low that it's not worth my time now. Plus the fact emails often get ignored, too much of a waste of my time I think.

Absolutely - I only shop for GAP for the 'free' petrol and coffee (and bog roll from the supermarkets!). I don't put any extra effort into the shops and writing them up as their questionnaire is, as you say, abysmal!

Like I always harp on about, GAP don't seem interested in mystery shopping, just getting reports filled in, whatever the quality!

I wish more people thought like you, then there would be more jobs for people like me who like Gap, and who arent greedy about the amount they get paid for, in essence, very simple jobs.

    Are you saying I'm greedy?

To stuff with the team leader. I have sent him a very snotty email asking him if I going to be paid just once or twice. I have also said if it's just once you can forget about my visit tomorrow!! I probably sound like a complete git, but I did the first shop twice and he is trying to get off by just paying me once when he actually told me on the phone it would be twice! End of rant. Thank you. LOL.
mimi what have you done? Patience patience patience...Just go ahead and do your scheduled job for today. I can assure you that they will pay. The pay is usually automatic and any extras have to be entered manually and to Err is Human..Just keep on sending reminders and speak to the person who have originally promissed you. It happened to me before and after a couple of reminders I got what I wanted.

It's not a case of being greedy, more that shoppers want to be able to carry out their shops without getting loads of problems afterwards. IMO mystery shopping is hard work enough, without having to worry about whether your report will be rejected and whether you will be paid for what you have done ! I'm registered with most of the sites, and although I do more jobs for GAP, I have to say I prefer any of the others over GAP. Their pay is low compared to the others, they aren't as contactable in an emergency (or routine enquiries for that matter!) and as has been said before, they only seem to worry about getting the shops done and not the quality of the reports.

I'm going to see what happens with the reports i've done this month and if no pay, then i'm offski ! I do have jobs booked with them so if it comes to it, I just won't turn up !

Exactly my sentiments, thank you. If people want to do shops for a company that you cannot contact and get paid a pittance for; whilst I go out and do a simple job for someone else for more than double the money than that's their choice. I've worked for GAP for years now and unfortunately they are only getting worse :(

I wonder if the client companies are reading posts like this and others which reflect on the quality of the shoppers and their reports.

If I were, for example, the burger joint and read about the performance of GAP, I would consider carefully whether or not I would continue using them.

I've decided to be selective about what I do for GAP, very impressed with T N S, got a statement telling me what I Had been paid for dates etc, where as with GAP, nothing not even an online statement. The amount I've been paid does not tally with the figures I have and we had to wait ages, I did a MS at the begining of Jan had and only got paid last week for it, for me it's not good enough. So when they released the last lot I was very selective and will only do what fits in with me and the children. Thats the thing, we all keep saying you won't make a fortune with MS.
