Oh I see. Reading that other forum though I sounds very interesting and I think you seem to be able to say a lot more on there than you can on here within reason.cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

Just had my delivery of the materials and it's rather big. Anyone have any practical ideas on how to transport the materials from the car park to the store? About 50% of the stores I'm doing have their nearest parking a 5 minute walk away and I'm wondering how I'm going to carry all the things I need to take with me!
I learned that lesson the hard way too!
Have you got some sort of trolley you can use?
Can you park directly outside the store just while you are unloading? You can dump the boxes and then move your car before going back to do the job.

I agree with lots of the comments about Gap on here. They've got the best system of allocating jobs (except the typos!). I agree too that the pay is poor and also that you just need to be selective.
I do the convenience stores, bookies, fuel stations, stamp shops & pizza places - i.e. I'll only do jobs where I get something in addition to the shop that makes it worth my while - a freebie (meal out / petrol), a free bet, free groceries or free euros / stamps in addition to the miniscule shop fee, otherwise it wouldn't be worth it, IMHO.
That's why I don't do phone shops or travel agents, because the fee in itself isn't enough for me to bother with, let alone working out the tax implications! I'd rather make a "paper loss" for Mr Inland Revenue or it's even less worthwhile!
Even when Gap have cancelled jobs that I've done, because of their error, I've been paid, so haven't had a problem on that front - good ole Matt sorted it out for me too!0 -
I just wondered if anyone has had MS where you had to take a photo of the front of the location? I had one in a small rural location and it was very hard to get a good picture without making it too obvious.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 102

I enjoy merchandising work two, especially when I make a great difference.
How do you find it though when you need to get stock form the stock room and need someone to show you where things are? Sometimes the staff make me feel as a proper nuisance!
Does anyone participate in Focus Groups? They seem to have a high pay per hour.0 -
I would love to do Focus Groups, but they are all in London or for older people. Not fair!0
