Yes!
Always enrol, enrol and enrol some more. The worst that can happen is that you have to turn jobs down....
Obviously only enrol with the legit companies though!0 -
Registered with 2 sites both starting with g (;) ).Been with them for a week or so but cant seem to get jobs ?? ......do you think i should enrol with more??
Which companies that begin with G?
GFK allocates generally all the month. You can add more than one postcode. I have found jobs on GFK without getting an email. (not often through)
Grassroots recently seems too have very little work. If you get an email from them the chances are the jobs have already gone. Again you can add more than one postcode.
Gapbuster is self allocation and the new assignments come up mid month from 10-15th ish. they do go quick. Keep checking the rest of the month for assignments that get put back up for grabs. As a newbie with GAP you can only do 5 jobs in your first month. Choose wisely!
My best advice to you and any other newbie mystery shoppers is to accept a job as soon as possible, even if it is in the next town. This will make you active, and get you a rating.
Companies allocate jobs using your profile. Make sure it is up to date.
The last thing is that companies rate you on your performance. Don't cancel an assignment unless you have too, as this reduces your rating, and try and do the visit on the original day without changing the date.
Be patient and the jobs will start coming. Once you are up and going you'll be fine!
The more companies you register for the more jobs you get to choose from...

Gap burger toilets:
I was under the impression that if you visit the toilets first and they are dirty, and then they are cleaned up during your visit, you have to mark the toilets as clean. The same with dirty tables, or mess on the floor, or litter outside that is cleared away while you are in there.
I haven't done a Gap burger for ages though, so I'm not 100% sure on that!
I entertained myself in London the other day by asking for a recipet in a burger joint even though not doing a shop there. Had the normal floor show with them all running around.... The best bit was sitting in the middle of a group of kits and watching the staff run around with balloons and giving out apple pies which was a first fior me. Never seen the pie bit. The most shocking bit was a member of staff trying ot make conversation with me and asking about me day.
Well it made me laugh while I sat eating my burger.
Have only done in Gap buger joint for real and waiting to be paid for it. Will most probably be rejected as I said the floor and toilets were messy. Even though the staff came and swept the floor they didn't get the two straw wrappers and reciept which were under the table in front of where i was sitting. And the toilet had hair on the seat. Not nice.0 -
Ha!
I'd love to go back and do one when I'm not shopping them and at the end, tell them they've made the effort for nothing - sadly though, even though I don't do those jobs anymore, I'm pretty restricted from telling them I've shopped them before!0 -

I have often thought of doing that too.
Even thought of taking it to the next stage. About once a month or so a group of about 15 get get together and usually need to find somewhere to eat. We usually end up at a pub. I did think of going into a burger joint and all ordering individually and each one asking for a receipt.
Initially it could be amusing but they would soon realise. Could be funny though.0 -
Can anyone help please, I have signed up to TNS but I cannot log in as it just says browser error and that cookies are not enabled to my browser. What does this mean and what should I do?
Thanks0 -
I don't agree with you on this one leila - I've always claimed the full amount for travelling expenses, regardless of how many miles I've done & TNS have never queried it.
On one occasion I did 3 jobs for TNS where the shops were with a few yards of each other & was paid 3 lots of travelling expenses.
Recently I had two "major purchases" briefs, one for a new home and another for a ring worth 2000 pounds, where it states: "Please note that should you go ahead and decide to make a purchase that we will not reimburse you".
Oh really? What a shame I thought, Someone must have tried that one before, or else why would they write such thing! :rolleyes:0 -
Afternoon
OH has expressed an interest in MS, and I know there was mention of one company who preferred men to do the 'gamboling' - which one was it ?0
