Do you shop with these? What are they like - remuneration / communication etc?

Also, they ask for an area code which seems to be a three digit number? It doesn't accept something like LS1, i.e. a first part of a postcode, so what do they mean? Or is this some sort of dodgy link?
Why would I give dodgy link????
With most sassie forms (for international companies) you leave the area code blank.
I have shopped for them before and they are great. They mainly do jewellery shops, but currently they have something different. They sent me an email asking if I know any shoppers, and I thought that I should post the link here for someone to benefit. I am sure if you do a search on kern Scheduling you would get the answer to that question you asked, which you should have done instead of accusing me of posting dodgy links!!!

Sorry, I didn't mean to accuse you of a dodgy link :o Someone above seems to have - it all seems very american and they ask you which american shops you shop at and pay you in dollars. On Googling all I find again is american stuff and on selecting UK, can't find anything telling me about them.

The only job showing for me is taking some sort of test that you're meant to fail, so it all seemed a bit confusing, was just trying to suss legitimacy.

Sorry Leila, but I was really confused by the area codes thing as well. I knew Kern Scheduling are pukka, as I am already signed up to Sassie (although their system claimed not to be able to find me, so I started again). However, I have applied because I am often in the Crawley area, but there is no way they are going to be able to tell this from my permanent address! If they are the sort of company that phones you to offer jobs, or emails you when jobs in your area come up, I won't be any use to them, will I?
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

They have the same system as Bare, they send bulck e mails when jobs come up, and if the job is on the board you apply and wait for a scheduler to assign it to you. You do have to sign up to their sister company as well (Secret Shoppers, also uses sassie).
There are just so many companies that use sassie that it is difficult to keep track of who has your e address.
You might not get much work from them but if you have a long list of these sites that give you the odd job evey now and then, then you will never be bored!!

I did 3 jewellrey shops once for Sassie shop (Kern) and they took me all afternoon. I inputted my results within 8 hours and they refused them by sayin the reports were all too similar to each other, even thought all the visits followed the same format . I was an afternoons work down for myself and OH, 140 miles down and car parks for 3 towns  I would avoid these visits at all costs

I have e mailed your question to them and there is your reply:
Thank you so much for your interest in these shops. These shops are NOT reveal shops; they are mystery shops from beginning to end. We actually want shoppers to fail the test so that they will be eligible to complete the shops again in the future.

Shoppers do not have to pay for the test. It works like this: after you're assigned a shop, it takes about 3 days for us to obtain a login for you for the client's website. This login allows you to book your appointment online to go to the testing centre. The login that we give you makes it appear that you have already paid for the exam. So, there is no cost to the shoppers. The only thing required is that shoppers must be between 21 - 50 years old and take 2 forms of identification along with them on the shop.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if there are any other questions and I will be more than happy to assist you. If you'd like to post my email address on the forum, that would be most excellent. I am available to answer any questions that you may have.

    Best regards,

    Thanks Leila

I deleted my original post as I was worried I might be asking questions that were giving away too mcuh about the job. I'm really impressed you got an answer so quickly too - that sounds like good support. I'll try and give it a go!

And yes I had a bit of a mad selection time on GAP a couple of weeks ago which I was regretting last week but how soon you forget... :o

    Gap burger toilets:

I was under the impression that if you visit the toilets first and they are dirty, and then they are cleaned up during your visit, you have to mark the toilets as clean. The same with dirty tables, or mess on the floor, or litter outside that is cleared away while you are in there.

I haven't done a Gap burger for ages though, so I'm not 100% sure on that!
Here I go again on my own....

It is not the full $3 everytime, you claim 22pence per mile as it states in the guidlines, and work out how much your return journey costs. Just like you do with expenses, you claim the full amount if your mileage is over, and the actual amount if your mileage is under.

I don't agree with you on this one leila - I've always claimed the full amount for travelling expenses, regardless of how many miles I've done & TNS have never queried it.

On one occasion I did 3 jobs for TNS where the shops were with a few yards of each other & was paid 3 lots of travelling expenses.
