I've just tried RE site and can get in fine so it *might* be a problem with your account. I've always found them really helpful to deal with on the phone and wouldn't generally worry about their honesty so I'm sure you'll be able to sort it out. Their number is 01908 328004 - I think they often work late so I'd give them a ring.

On a different note, anyone had the name your price £5000 bank email from GfK today? I'll not give too many details but anyone know what a reaosonable price would be - I hate these name your price situations.

I got this today too and suggested a fee of about 1.5 times the figure they mention. I based this on similar jobs I have done in the past. HTH

Seriously guys, ask for at LEAST 3 or 4 times - they apparenly get iro 10 times what they pay us so make them work for it!

I wonder if this is a gender thing cos I'm almost too embarrassed to ask for a really high rate. I still remember almost curling up with embarrassment to ask GR in the good old days when they phoned with short notice ones, for an extra fee to cover the mileage - it was only I think £2 or £3 - they never called me again! :o

I might go for a 1.8. It still has quite a whiff of an international scam about it!!

BTW do you notice that there is nothing about transfering money out???

    Hi

Can anyone help, the last time I did a GAP assignment only the first page of the paperwork printed out, and I ended up having to write the remaining 5 pages out. I have got two to do tomorrow, and the same thing has happened again. I have contacted GAP about the problem but not sure if I'll get a reply or not.

I don't want to spend an hour writing the questionnaire out manually.
    Thanks
    sara

Are you using FireFox or internet explorer brower?

If you are using FireFox then sometimes It does not work as GAP's paperwork was made for internet explorer. In saying that I have printed from GAP yesterday (on internet explorer) and I always do a print preview and yesterday the paperwork was for 12 pages, but when I look at each page I noticed that it only covered 7 pages of the questionnaire.

  • Does anyone know if GFK work late on a friday and if they work at the weekend. I have just tried to do one of those "look for people assignments," but with no look in finding them. I am sending them an email and I have tried to re-schedule the job, but it looks like this is the last day for it. I only picked this job up on Wednesday.

Over the last couple of jobs that I have done for them 3 out of 4 have gone wrong as the stores have been closed. Not going well for me at the mo with them. But you can't win them all. I am just wondering if I will get struck off beacuse of this.

Does anyone know of any companies that operate in Spain? I'd love to do MS, but I'm guessing that most, if not all, of those mentioned here only do UK work.

How are you down to get paid by RE? I get paid by BACS and they pay any amount thats due so maybe change to this payment method? With regards to GR timetable - just tick what you can do (or all!) and then you are the one to accept jobs so just don't accept the ones you can't do!

It is often harder work to get the assignments rather than do the actual MS ;)

I think that GAP and Bare international work in spain. You would have to look at each companies website and see if they do any in Spain. I know that I have had some emails of companies that want people to assess airports overseas, but not sure if they do every day jobs in Spain.

    Hope this helps.
