That is a still from the video of Seance-gate. That went on for about an hour. As the pentagram was painted in gloss it was visible for about 3 weeks. It ended with a fire being lit in the middle. Her lawn still has burn marks on it. Stupid is as stupid does x
Me and my other half had an animated debate on this one.
OH says this is crazy, possibly police stuff.
I maintain, this is neighbours garden, they can draw whatever they want- pentagram, quadrilateral, hieroglyphics on their land.
OH: Hmmm, what about Nazi symbols?
Me: (ruminating over it) Well, if it is causing distress to other neighbours, then yes police stuff.
OH: Would this pentagram & frock clad jokers cause you distress?
Me: I don't believe in the occult, that doesn't mean it might not exist. I would be very uneasy if this happened in my neighbours garden and they already had a beef with me.

    More power to you!
I totally get what you're saying, if there was only this one instance then me and my OH would have probably had the same conversation as you and yours, but this is becoming an almost daily thing. Its just one thing after another. Sometimes just little things, but always something. An example is this morning my husband took the dogs down the garden and she shouted "what day is it today?" And her daughter shouted "it's national w***er day"
We never reply or retaliate, we don't even look at them. They're like wasps x
  • The problem with people like this is that they chip away at you. In the end you get that you don't want to go out if they are around.
We had 8 years of hell from upstairs neighbours. You would not believe what they got up to. Moving was the best thing we did and we now have peace of mind. Some folk are deranged unfortunately.

You are noting everything down, aren't you? Dated and timed. This is harassment and needs to stop.

If they can almost be guaranteed to respond every time you go out into the garden, try and set up your sound/visual recording first - provide full evidence to back your list. But don't leave any incident without being noted down.

Installing privacy film on your windows would at least stop them looking into your bedrooms.

"Congratulations. How will you be celebrating?"
    I wish I'd thought of that! 🤣

Yes, i have it all noted since November last year. I have photos and videos of most of it. It will probably get a lot worse once we send her the bill for the mediator too, but I'm ready for that, i think x

You really need to be logging each incident with the police.  People like this often know what buttons to press, and could even get ahead of you with their own allegations.  At least you are keeping a log.
I'd be installing CCTV in the back garden immediately (making sure it doesn't cover their garden). You could even pre-empt complaints by saying you have had cameras installed for security reasons and here is a copy of the image so you can be comfortable it isn't invading your privacy.
You could also look into pleached trees, excellent for screening, but obviously expensive so you'd want cameras to catch any potential damage.
I'd take down the image of them in their garden - it is up to them what they do, and its up to you to not let it affect you.  Unless you feel at risk (for example they are being aggressive towards you) you could find yourself in hot water and accussed of invading their privacy.
Just to add, I'm not sure where you stand on the mediator costs - I doubt very much you agreed up front to split the costs - what did your solicitor advise?  I'd make sure you can charge them before you wade in...
