So new car radiator is installed. £376 in total so happy with that. Should be able to make the meal out.
GCSE grades are into my management on Wednesday for moderation before the final national deadline on Friday. Just been told the head of teaching and learning from the company who owns the school is coming in to deep dive English next Wednesday so will have to spent the latter half of this week and then next week making sure my files are up to scratch. Also need to bribe some kidsBottom line;

GCSEs are done and handed in to the Head. Now under lock and key until the exam boards ask for them. But I've done everything I needed to. Now just waiting to see if the board accept the grades or call the assessment evidence in. Evidence is watertight though, spent a few hours yesterday afternoon sitting with two of the kids to do a final past paper.
We've had a hilarious afternoon at school. BBQ for lunch and then a whole school game of rounders on the back field. Still not quite sure why; it was initially pitched as 'as the weather will be lovely' then it rained and we did it anyway. So BBQ in overcast weather and then playing rounders in the rain. How British! Kids loved it though, I scored 2 points despite having to carry one of my form for the final two bases as he was trying to block me.... then jumped on my back, so I ran the second half carrying him.

Christ almighty. Husband has fallen out with his family over camping. They're trying to arrange a camping weekend for the summer and husband is being entirely unhelpful, refusing to pick a weekend, speculating wildly that he may be needed for hobby stuff when we havent even signed a contract and some of them are tiny shows waaaay down south so its so unlikely to involve us anywhere.
His uncle has finally snapped and had a bit of a go at him (basically summed up as 'you've kept us all waiting a week when sites are booking up to then say you don't know and won't know until a few days before. What use is that?' Which is completely justifiable but christ alive it's like someone spat in husband's face.
Nice to know its not just me that gets the overreactions. I'm listening to the ranting on and off and hopefully it will stop short of being mad at the world (given that I'm the only person here to take it out on)
Interestingly he's not responding to his uncle, whom i suspect would verbally rip him a new one if he actually typed any of the things he is saying.

I think your husbands uncle is quite justified in having a go at him. If the whole family are going it cannot be left until last minute to book sites and using an excuse of events happening which may or may not go ahead is ridiculous. @enthusiasticsaver Yes his uncle is completely in the right! I think husband has thrown his toys out the pram because when he had been asked for the third time to clarify which weekends he could do and continued to just be vague, his uncle basically went 'sod it, lets just book X weekend and he can decide later if he can make it' He therefore felt 'dismissed' hence the ranting.
I think he does want to go but cant cope with not completely pandered to; despite everyone waiting for over a week and giving him numerous opportunities to specify a weekend. He also is completely refusing to acknowledge that because of covid there are lots more people vying for camping spots due to not being able to fly. He reckons his uncle is just being dramatic.
I did attempt to broach it with him midweek in a 'maybe give them a weekend to work with? They are making decent points about camping spaces filling up quickly' but got my head bitten off so ive ducked out.
Yep it is absolutely not just me! 😜 He currently has fallen out with some of the management at his work and in response has put up a poster in his office which says 'beware the fury of a patient man' 😳 I mean, i dont know any of his colleagues but if someone at my work did that, everyone would just think they were being a right prat.
I absolutely love his extended family so a camping trip would be great.Bottom line;

His sister whom I love has messaged me to say they've booked a pitch for us and if it turns out we can't go then she'll just pay for two pitches and take extra stuff. Which is very kind.
Husband is 'done with the lot of them' which is about standard, he'll get over himself in a few days. He briefly tried to be crappy with me this morning about how I was 'not being supportive of him enough' post argument and ducking him. I asked him to outline specifically how I was not being supportive given he was talking to me about it throughout and sat with him for most of the evening but that point was ignored.
Oh and we're no longer going out to the meal.He's decided he can't afford it. (It would be £20 each; i've budgeted for my half and he's got £3k in his account.... so not exactly sure !!!!!! he is on about there, however he's talking about paying back my dad at the beginning of July (I've got £900 in my repay family fund and he would pay the remaining £1,700) so as much as I would really like to go out, I'm going along with it as once my dad is repaid that is the last family member I owe money to sorted.
So instead I've asked the friend who was meant to babysit to still come round for a brew and a catchup which will be nice.
