Ah Kakiste. Bless you! Your OH does sound like a nightmare. And you’re so lovely! It makes me so cross. But your attitude is amazing and I admire just how strong you are! I love your diary!

Another one just stopping by to wish you luck with your battle plan. You're way more sensible than I am.
  • Gosh it sounds like you have a lot on your plate. Just to say be careful timing wise as you don't want him to lay claim to what is yours when you eventually divorce.
  • My husband is also a teacher, its tough at the moment but I'm so glad that you're job is something you enjoy and gives you a good escape from home. Sounds like you have a really good plan together and that can help you get through the tough times. You're doing so well, keep your head held high.

Just buy the work shoes. Throw it on the 0% or something if you need to tbh I’m a bit shocked by what you’ve written re shoes. Know you’ve written on my diary that you’re frugal with money but it’s good to be well presented and in my world one pair of work shoes is def not enough. Really you should have a work wardrobe - clothes and shoes (multiple) for work and other clothes and shoes for home.

I would buy shoes too if at all possible. I do wear mine into the ground, but I remember walking to school with plastic bags in my shoes to keep my feet dry, back when we got one pair for the new school year and then some sandals in summer and if you chose badly you had to make do! I appreciate we just couldn’t afford more and would never have thought to ask for any, but now we are in charge of our own shoes 😁 Can you tweak the budget to get some?

You need decent shoes when you are on your feet all day. There isnothing worse than soggy feet and it is not good for your feet to be wet.
