Kakiste, I'm so happy to see your update - honestly, I had a tear in my eye reading it! I'm so glad that the house is exceeding your expectations and it sounds like your colleague and the current tenant in the 2 bed house are both lovely too. Congratulations and so happy for you and your daughter!1

Thanks everyone - very happy at the moment.
My work friends are hilarious- there was proper scheming going on in the staffroom this lunchtime where people kept listing spare furniture that they've got at me and figuring out whose garages things can be stored in until February half term. Several people have offered to come and help me carry in/assemble furniture in the holiday and work best friend has started planning a housewarming party for end of March.
So I'm very excited - next step is to see it Friday and choose room colours- and assess what furniture and appliances the house will have and what I will need to either accept from colleagues, bring with me or acquire and then get on the local sell and seek groups to see what's selling.
As soon as carpets/painting is done and new neighbour is moved then I can start shifting stuff. I've agreed 1st March is when I'll start paying rent from (but work friend has said that if I have everything ready to go and want to pull the trigger and tell him mid February I can move in then and not pay anything for that last week.Bottom line;
