Great that the rent has been reduced and the cottage is decorated to your taste. I would forget the parcel too. Husband remembered last night that he needs me to drive him to a hobby weekend this weekend coming (hadn't got round to asking me yet but I suspected I'd be called upon to drive him) so suddenly late night snapped back to being pleasant - then 20 minutes later told me that he'd need me to drive him there.
It's all so obvious and predictable- when he started being nice again I clocked it and thought "wonder what he needs from me?"
I'm going to do it though- he'll be out of the way doing all the hobby stuff and being very important for most of the weekend so I'm going to take my daughter into the city we're travelling to and go back to a great museum we visited last when she was 4. (We talked about it a while ago and I said that next time we went back then me and her would go visit it again.) That way I don't get into a big argument 3.5 weeks ahead of schedule, daughter will enjoy it and I'll get to see some of my friends.Bottom line;

It's worth driving him to get rid of him for the weekend. I hope you and your daughter have a great time.3

Patience, dear @Kakiste, it won't be long before you are free and won't have to listen to a word he says.
Can you use one day of the hobby weekend to shift some of your stuff?
As soon as the new house is available, can you take the contents of your freezer to the new place ahead of telling himself? In fact, how about adding some staples to your weekly shop in readiness for the new place?What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?3 -
You're already living like a single person. I think this move will make you happy and you'll find some peace x3

Love the colour choices! The deep blue is very similar to how we painted out TV room, and the brighter green is very similar to our living room too (where I'm sitting right now!) Too many years living in magnolia or white boxes. It sounds like you've got a lovely place2

The colour choices look great!
I agree with you, it is worth driving your husband to the hobby weekend in order to have him out of your hair for a couple of days. Enjoy the time with your daughter2 -
@satchmo1 sadly not- we'll be driving there together- (3 hour drive) and staying over at a friend's house in the city so I'll be away the whole weekend- however husband will be busy doing all the hobby things so daughter and I will be off on our own during the days.Bottom line;

Was overall a nice weekend, took my daughter out to the museum and had a great time- it's entirely hands on so we spent over 3 hours in there. Really nice to catch up with friends as well- got to catch up with a number of people I've not seen since end of last season (last September)
Husband was grumping on the way back as he kept trying to start long conversations about our relationship and all my personality issues and I just wasn't biting- the road was quite difficult (very windy, hilly and lots of potholes) whilst driving a fully laden transit van- so I couldn't concentrate on an in depth conversation and I also didn't want to- so he sulked for a few hours but then got over himself.
