It's normal for any firm of solicitors that a letter is signed in the firm's name - you see it in conveyancing letters if you move house, or when will-writing, etc.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Alfie_79 said:I now received a response. An 11 page one to be precise. They tell me my defence is nonsensical rubbish that I've cut and pasted from the internet proving I have no real legal experience and I should just pay up! Not the most pleasing letter I've received. Not feeling very confident now! Is that the kind of thing I should have expected?
That same letter, with the exact same phrases and rubbish spouted within, has appeared *dozens* of times.
It has had its intended - and blindingly obvious - effect, which is to make you feel unsure. WEll, dont be so obviously manipulated, get *angryu* that theyve sent such rubbish to you, and use that anger to good effect.3 -
We've seen that letter so many times and it's been discussed here too often.
No-one needs to be posting about it as if it's a new thing that actually means something to their case. It's an 11 page obvious template, sent in terrorem of Defendants.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Why not complain to the SRA about the letter which you consider insulting and intimidating I suspect that 99% of the parking ticket claims are against someone who has no legal experience and uses the internet to fight them. Here ids the place to complain, https://www.sra.org.uk/You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1

UPDATE!!!
I have just received judgement from Northampton County Court. The claim is "struck out as an abuse of power". This is such a huge relief. Thanks to Beamerguy for his advice and encouragement. Great result!!!8 -
Fab!
BW - will you now threaten the OP with a set aside on the basis of your one set aside that was succesful? I wonder!
OP - make sure you read the other thread on this, so you can see the discusion on how BWs "win", which will have cost their client a fair amount, means naff-all - it doesnt help them one bit.3 -
Great News.
This was taken off forum and the first letter sent invited BWLegal to discontinue if they could not prove their legal authority to add £60
The BWL reply was the normal nonsensical rubbish we have seen on here many times. All about they are allowed to because the BPA code of practice says they can.
I asked the OP to take a picture of signs which were in a pub and operated by Britannia parking Group.. Knowing that Britannia has a problem with understanding who is the correct entity, I wanted to compare the picture in the BWL witness statement.?
The picture BWL provided had been doctored and cropped at the bottom taking out the Britannia name and all info that must be shown to comply to the BPA code practice ??
BWLegal were asked "who cropped" the picture, was it BWL or Britannia. ?
BWLegal were also asked to prove which entity operated by Britannia was on the cropped picture which was taken by Britannia a couple of years prior.
Of course, BWLegal did not respond so we were looking forward to our day in court.
Judge Elsey in Northampton court beat us to it and you can see the strike out above for abuse of process
So, given the current "bull in a china shop" approach by BWL .... will they attempt to appeal this case ??? or, is there too much dirty washing just waiting
This will now appear in the ABUSE OF PROCESS THREAD PART 2
