Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully, when life gets back to normal, it will become impossible for those scammers who are left to continue their vile trade, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

How much are they asking for and who is the parking company ????
It's Britannia Parking and the amount they're claiming is £167.40 (which includes their famous £60 contractual costs) plus £25 court fees and £50 for legal representation costs so £242.40 in total.
Of course, the usual BWLegal scam.
There are two letters for you to use.
Dude, thank you so much for your help and advice. It's truly appreciated!
First letter has been sent so I'll update this post when I get a response.

You still haven't edited your post to remove information about who did what. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people as far as the law is concerned.
I married my cousin. I had to...
    I don't have a sister. :D
    All my screwdrivers are cordless.

Just a term of endearment, not assuming anyone's gender!
    I got an email from BW Legal's 'dispute resolution' team. As I both posted and emailed a scan of the letter they've responded with a request for;
    1. Please complete your full name
    2. Please provide the first line of your address and postcode
Alongside that they want me to confirm one piece of information relating to the 'offence' in dispute.
Should I be concerned as it's not a request to confirm the driver or keeper specifically?

They know who the keeper is, do not tell them who the driver was.

I now received a response. An 11 page one to be precise. They tell me my defence is nonsensical rubbish that I've cut and pasted from the internet proving I have no real legal experience and I should just pay up! Not the most pleasing letter I've received. Not feeling very confident now! Is that the kind of thing I should have expected?

Don't be daft this is a typical nonsensical letter from BWLegal.   Was it signed by a Phillip Byers-Nolan ???
