:rotfl: sure i read something similar to this at the begiing of thread, amazing how we seem to go the full circle and the OP still can't quiet grasp the concept.

I am not quite sure what I concept I am supposed to be grasping, I only asked about HB.

Weymuffed, you don't seem to have such a problem with your dial-up on this forum.
Anyway you should start searching for a 3 bedroomed house, instead of wasting your time worrying how much the HB will be on a 4 bed property. I'm assuming you are concerned HB will pay some leaving you to take the rest out your pocket(benefit money). Well as the story goes you want something, work for it and pay for it. If not put up and shut up!

When I posted the question I was on dial up.
I can only look for houses in certain places, and I do everyday, but as there is a shortage of 3/4 bed properties at the moment there really is not a lot I can do.
I will leave you and whoever that are on this post to be as judgemental as you are, because whatever I say is not going to make a blind bit of difference to some of you.

Please can posters refrain from putting judgemental or personal comments on this thread as the Benefits and Tax Credits board is here for (friendly, I hope!) advice and support. Thanks. :)

Fran i apologize :o but in my defence it's like hitting a brick wall!

    :T thanks.
I am not sure what you are reading but, we were going to b homeless found the property we were in now, didnt want to pay such a high rent, but housing advisor PROMISED us the next 4 bed house. Next 4 bed house comes along we dont get it. I would call that a shafting.
here we go again...as you were already housed in private rented accommodation, you were not a high priority in the eyes of the council.

The next 4 bed house that became available went to a family whose needs were greater than yours, you do not know what their circumstances were, but the council felt they needed the house more than you did.

Nobody can answer you question as each local authority work differently, but if you could possibly go to you local authority office and ask them i would guess they would have the answer to your question.
