So you bought a house, paid the mortgage for x amount of years & sold it & the sale from the house paid the remaining mortgage less £1,500?

You can't have had the mortgage long then?

We had the mortgage for 7 years.
Have you got a job yet?

    NO? Then :shhh:

So you paid out for 7 years & when you sold up, you still had to add £1,500 to the sale price to pay off the mortgage?

Wouldn't it have been better to plough the money into another house (in an area you liked), that way you wouldn't be in a bad situation now?

We sold our house at a loss, we lost 1500 so had no money to put into anything.

Damn, 7 years of a mortgage & still owing money (£1,500) more money than the house is worth.
    Thats tough.
