After being burgled twice, and all the other stuff, we had to get away.

I'm no expert on housing. I work for the council - but not housing.

But I think as long as you have a roof over your head & are not too over crowded then they won't do much for you. Not because they don't want to but because there will be people who don't have a roof over their head or are very overcrowded, they will have to help the most needy first.

Whats not reality? I would love to be able to post a copy of the letter I wrote to my local mp that includes me saying that the amount of HB I get is shocking and it would be more affordable for us to have been put in a council house.

You actually paying for something with your own money!

Weymuffed, you don't seem to have such a problem with your dial-up on this forum.
Anyway you should start searching for a 3 bedroomed house, instead of wasting your time worrying how much the HB will be on a 4 bed property. I'm assuming you are concerned HB will pay some leaving you to take the rest out your pocket(benefit money). Well as the story goes you want something, work for it and pay for it. If not put up and shut up!

I am not sure what you are reading but, we were going to b homeless found the property we were in now, didnt want to pay such a high rent, but housing advisor PROMISED us the next 4 bed house. Next 4 bed house comes along we dont get it. I would call that a shafting.
