Thats oK, I hope you understood, not sure by the icon. I just answered your previous question, if you dont like the answer (truth) thats tough.

The answer is only an opinion of yours and not worth anything to me.

Contact the Housing Benefit dept about how much they would pay towards your rent and just be grateful you have a decent roof over your head - unlike me.

Here we go again... why promise us the next 4 bed house?
We didnt want this house as the rent is tooo high.

You said you found it long before you sold up:rolleyes: If you didn't want it then you should have looked around a bit longer.
Nothing more can be suggested to you, so keep searching for that house and continue pleading with the council.

;) it's easier to argue with everyone on MSE than contact HB

The HB is 895 a month and is too much, you lot go on about how much benefit I get and I try do something about it and you still find something to moan on about.

weymuffred, until we got a council house we were a family of 6 in a caravan. For 2 years. (the reasons we were in a caravan have been discussed on other threads, just to say for the safety and lives of my family)
The caravan was costing £400 a month and there was no HB for that as it was on a holiday park, we had to pay that out of my daughter and mine's DLA.
You have a roof over your head, at least the walls don't move whent he wind blows.
Maybe the family that needed the 4 bed place were completely homeless? Maybe they had to move in a hurry because someone had sexually abused their eldest child and were getting death threats.
I was top of the list for a bungalow, but there were people more disabled than I that needed pne, so we got given this house instead. 3 bedroomed not four, stairs not bungalow, middle of nowhere, not near town. But it is a home. Go to the council, tell them yes you will accept a 3 bedroomed place, house or flat anywhere. You are far more likely to get rehoused then. If you refuse a council place or move to a private rent 4 bed place then you will be knocked down the list again.
If your landlord say you HAVE to move, get it in writing and take a copy to the council offices.
    Otherwise, lower your ideas.

 What thread are you reading?
I sold my house in 2001, and have had a couple of private rented houses since. The house we are in now we had to find quick otherwise we would have been homeless.
