WTC with disability element

Kitten347 said:ooh I sent them a letter too earlier today! We are getting good at all these letters we are sending!Good reply though to your letter. My letter to them was probably a bit different to yours as I’ve never received a letter from dwp or even been asked to provide evidence. I’m only guessing that when I updated earnings up to 5 April, it triggered something? I have however mentioned this case G they refer to as I think it could be this as they say in their reply to you “staff at HMRC have been confused about the other ways to qualify for the disability element (particularly under something called ‘Case G’ in the Regulations).”1

I've just checked yet again online and it's still being processed! It's now 21 days since I first contacted them. I really am getting fed up with this. Chat again? Probably another waste of time though.

Well I've been on chat again! Someone I've spoken to before, I've probably chatted to most of them after 21 days! She was really nice and did try to get hold of a boss but had no luck finding anyone. However, she is going to ring me tomorrow after 4pm with hopefully some update. Fingers crossed!

They may not update until they've written to you about your complaint.0 -
I'm not sure I am any closer to knowing.
I was confused by a webchat where the person said I was due a telephone call, but then a few messages later said my payments will continue after July.
I then telephoned and was told they are doing their final checks, but at the moment nothing has changed and I will be told in a letter within three weeks of them completing their checks the outcome.
So I just have to worry a few weeks longer!
Just checked online again and....
This should be finished by 30 November 2020.
You can complete your declaration again until
31 July 2020, if you think you have made a mistake.0 -
I have news!!! The person I was on chat to yesterday has been like a dog with a bone and has really tried to get some answers as to why the disability element was stopped. She phoned me at 4pm as she had promised. Looks like we will never know if it was computer or human error but.....she's reinstated the disability element and it should be shown on my account by Wednesday. It looks like either human or computer changed that I wasn't now working the required 16hrs. She's even put it in her diary to ring me again on Wednesday to check all is ok. What a star she is. All the chats and letters I sent, however much a nuisance I probably was did eventually work! Just hope it really does now go according to what she said!
Gellar..... so sorry you haven't got better news. Just keep on at them. If only we could speak directly to those in the back ground working on our case, the advisors we chat to can only tell us what is on their screen, they can't make decisions. I was lucky this advisor took it further.

Great to hear Kitten - I hope it continues to be good news for you - one foot and a half out of the boat!
Their has been an update on the LITRG website about all of this.

Hope we all can jump out of this boat soon! Interesting update on that website.1

My account has been updated online, again, but webchat say no new notes and someone will contact me next week as very few advisors work at the weekend.
My amounts have changed - £2.60 less a week than what am getting now, but that is offset by a one off payment on June 11th of over £100. I'm hoping that means i've kept it, but it might also mean a one off payment and then it stops.....their are dates after the one off payment, but as i've found out, that doesn't mean anything with HMRC online account. Nobody seems to know anything.0 -
What a worry for you Gellar. After reading what you have posted, I checked my online account. Mine appears to show the correct payments starting by a one off payment 10th, TWO payments on 11th June followed by set payments each month after that. I'm not jumping for joy just yet as it could all change again.
