WTC with disability element

Sorry to hear daftcat - Nightmare!
I'm going to phone them tomorrow, but expect nothing but bad news. Surely they can't change the rules without telling people and then ask for back payments from previous years? That's ridiculous.
I'm due a payment tomorrow. Not sure what time it goes into the bank, but I was hoping to be paid, naturally. Not that it may be mine if I have to pay it back despite nothing changing. Envisaging them asking me to pay back 7 years. Some people will fold because of this, but as long as it doesn't add to the Covid 19 figures...
In all my years i've yet to get someone from HMRC on the phone who has a scooby doo as to what they are doing, so hopefully tomorrow will be a first. I once a lady go " Oh, erm, errrr, ok" when I told her what I was ringing for and she said "nobody ever responds to those letters......i'm not sure what to do, bear with me...erm....."
Surprise me HMRC, surprise me.....0 -
Good luck Gellar! If you can’t get through try online chat via your account. At least you can print it out at the end as to what they said. I think people on here know more than they do.1

Do you know what time their chat opens?
It has opening times for Twitter and phones etc, but can't see chat times.0 -

Well, I started claiming WTC with disability element in 2013 and have been employed ever since, so hopefully that meets the rules.
I meet all the rules on everything they have sent me, so I just hope somebody applies the rules correctly, as it's a big worry.0 -

She reckons it's to do with Covid 19 and them making sure they have all the right details for everyone as DWP have said their have been changes, but she cannot help me as their are no updates, and only people that use the back office system can add things onto the system, so I must wait until at least the deadline of the 5th June to contact them again.
Four more days at least of worrying what change has supposedly happened that I am unaware of.

I received one of these letters last week also, after conversing with 3 different advisers on the online chat due to being disconnected midway through a few times I conversed with a guy called Marcus who finally got what I was trying to explain to him about never being on any of those benefits that have supposedly now stopped, he twigged what I was on about & asked if I had been Fast Tracked by the Jolly Job Centre, I told him it was via the work scheme and he just advised me to fill in the form correctly ie: tick 3 yes's on the first 3 questions then tell them what benefits I was on but also make it clear on the form that I was Fast Tracked & that the people there do know about Case E & G and it would all be ok if nothing has changed & I was on the correct qualifying benefits at the time which I think everybody has been or would never have been fast tracked in the first place. One thing I did find strange in the whole conversation was when I told him surely the HMRC must already have all the information they are requesting he replied they don't have a record of it which makes me think someone has messed up maybe & deleted everyone's details of why anyone was on the disability element of WTC, I think they are making sure we were not on DLA, AA or PIP which may have stopped.2

Any luck today Gellar? I've received a letter from Complaints Investigation Manager dated 28th May. Thanks me for recent contact but doesn't say which contact she refers to! My first contact was on 14th May by phone followed by going on chat and letters to them. She says I will hear in 15 days time - 15 days from which contact is that? Looked online and it's still being processed. What a complete and utter mess this is1
