Interesting, so do you just transfer £1,250 internally?
Only a single payment of £1250 to either account is required to meet the terms of both accounts (as confirmed to me by NatWest CS).
@SuperHans1 have you actually been paid the full reward on your second account, without having deposited a second £1,250?

The terms do allow it with explicit condition one account is joint.

Whilst I agree the T&C's state that, the application window does not say "currently have 1 sole/joint account and applying for the same"

Have you been debited £4 for having 2 accounts? i.e. £2 from each account?
  • just now I had a very interesting conversation with a lady who was from Reward account team. My call was put through to them as it was a question related to reward account. So she confirmed I can have as many reward account provided I keep paying £1250 and 2 direct debits coming out every month from that account. I asked her is there a limit or I can have as many as reward accounts - she said as long as we approve your account when you apply online and pay-in £1250 with 2 DDs, you will get monthly reward in that account. Conversation ended.

Based on the call its worth trying and I am certainly going to apply for the second reward account and see how it goes.

Assume you need 2 DD's from each account to get the reward?

irrespective of what NatWest CS says, I dont think you can get the reward without paying £1250 and 2 DDs on each account. Each account has its own criteria to meet the requirement to be applicable for reward, no matter how many same type of account you hold.  For ex if you have sole + joint then you need to comply with the requirement on each account for reward to kick in every month.  I don't think they will only check one of the account for pay-in and DDs and pay for all reward accounts.

On the app - where do you see rewards? I've got to mess around clicking into account then at top by my balance the reward account text is a link. I click that and a popup appears. Then takes me out the app to here -> https://myrewards.natwest.com/Login?ReturnUrl=%2Flogin&TimedOut=1&Refresh=1

Is that normal or should there be a dedicated rewards icon somewhere?

Also my updated app has now lost the free credit score thingy. I know it's sh!te but just noticed it was missing once the app updated earlier today.

I'm going to apply for a second rewards next week. My first was only opened last month.
