    Can I please ask those who have both RBS and NatWest reward accounts, whether the £1250 monthly deposit can come from , say, RBS to Natwest in order to get the £5 reward, or does it have to come from a bank not within that group? (if you see what I mean?)

    Thanks

    Just wanted to tip people off who might use both RBS and NatWest Rewards accounts:
    You will need to use different email addresses for each online banking.  I have been trying for a few weeks to register on the RBS MyRewards, but have each time met up with an error message.  Online staff unable to help, but managed to speak with a person on the end of the phone, who explained that although the banking brands are kept separate, the MyRewards scheme cannot use the same email address for two separate accounts, and the MyRewards email address is the same as you use for Internet Banking, so therefore you will need a different email address for your Internet banking for both NatWest and RBS if you wish to partake in the MyRewards scheme for both brands.
    I also struggled to change my email address registered with RBS on Internet Banking, and had to ring up to do that.
    Thought I'd share my experience as I also had similar issues. Opened a NatWest account years ago and decided recently to open a RBS account for some extra rewards. Initially both were signed up with the same email and I couldn't register RBS for MyRewards.

    Changed my email on my RBS account to something different (was very straightforward to do via online banking for me - just make sure you have your card reader to hand) but was still unable to register for MyRewards with RBS. Ended up forgetting about it for a month until my first reward payments were paid out and was then finally able to access my RBS MyRewards account through the RBS app following a recent update. Once signed in this way I was able to change my password and now both my MyRewards accounts work fine :)

    The ideal scenario here I guess would be a couple having 3 sole/joint premier reward accounts between them (not tried this yet, just got the one joint account). Nets £288 per year after fees...

    From the T&C's
    5.3 The £1,250 can’t be paid in from a current account or savings account you hold with us.
    I would understand "Us" to mean the individual bank rather than the RBS Group so NatWest to RBS or vice versa would be okay.

    How have you come to that figure?
    My arithmetic, £5 reward per account, after the fee it's £3, multiply by six accounts over twelve months
    3x6x12 = £216

    Edited to add, I missed the "Premier"  but sadly I'm not quite eligible for that.
    If you could find a way of qualifying with both banks then you could actually double that figure to £576.

    I have one sole NatWest Reward account and NatWest have confirmed to me that I can open a second sole reward account. Could anyone please confirm whether you receive an additional £4 in rewards for having another two direct debits and an additional £1 for logging in to online/mobile app banking (£10 in total)? Or do you only receive the £1 for logging in once for both accounts? Presumably the two accounts would have the same online banking/mobile app login details and are not treated as completely separate?

    Interesting. What you've been told seem to conflict with the terms of the Natwest RA on p.24 of the Your Current Account Terms.

    I see what you mean about the terms and conditions! However this is also contradicted on the same page containing the link to these terms and conditions;

    "First things first. You can apply if you:

    are aged 18 or over and a UK resident

    will pay in £1,250 each calendar month to any eligible personal current account you have with us.

    do not currently hold 2 Reward accounts"

    It was a Twitter conversation that I had with NatWest so I have in writing that you can have a second sole account  :) Appears from this thread that some other people already have more than one sole account.

    It's not a contradiction since you can have one sole and one joint account.
    Perhaps on Twitter they meant you can have one sole Natwest and one sole RBS Reward account?

    To quote my twitter conversation;

    Hey there, thanks for getting in touch. Do you currently have a Reward account with another joint account holder at all? -Kirstie

    No just the one sole account at the mo
    Yesterday, 11:35 PM
    Ah okay, if you only have one reward account then you will be able to open a 2nd one with us.  2 is the maximum you are allowed. -Kirstie

    So I can have a second sole reward account for double rewards?
    Yesterday, 11:39 PM
    Yes, you will be able to. -Kirstie

    I've asked them to clarify the rewards but it is nice to get confirmation from other users on here. For some reason I never have 100% confidence in NatWest.

    Just to confirm I now have two NatWest sole accounts which are both earning £5 in rewards. I'm now considering opening an RBS account as well  ;)
