guess you're thanking your lucky starts that the kids tidied their bedroom, do you want to send them this way to tackle this place?
think we've found our honeymoon destination, just wating or OH to get a new passport and we can book it. I'm really looking forward to it but am feeling guilty about spending the money. But not as guilty as i still feel about what i spent yesterday.0 -
Ha, I think the bedroom tidying was a one off! Probably because they had no room on the floor to put their beanbags down! Shame, really. I was just starting to do the washing up and managed to slash my middle finger on a knife, I could do with them doing the dishes for me now! I guess I will have to pop some rubber gloves on and have a cheeky voddie and tonic afterwards to numb the pain
Logged on to Hubby's Egg account today, as they had sent him a letter increasing his credit limit to 6800 from 4500 (!) and saw that he still owes about 200 a month on it, and it's being paid off at 5pm by direct debit. I thought this was all paid off, so have increased the DD to 10 a month and applied for a goldfish card to transfer my Virgin balance onto. (4.9% for 3 years!) I wait with baited breath for the rejection letter.0 -

I've got some peace to make dinner and clean etc. Terrible mother, using the electric babysitter that way!
You want to try parking in central London - £7 an hour on the cash and flash <gulp>!
So we take the bus or tube instead, but we're lucky that public transport is fantastic in London and not expsnive - £1 on the bus, no matter how far you go, and free for toddlers.
You aren't a terrible mother, you are human! When I was cooking dinner yesterday evening, my little terror was watching a DVD. We all do it sometimes!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
:T:T:T Oh My Wotsit! Got up this morning, pottering about trying to rouse myself when the postie called with a parcel... I've won an iPod Nano! I enter loads of comps through work and I won! Admittedly, first prize was a place on an educational to somewhere exotic, but I am not complaining at all! :T:T:T
Now I have to think of something else to save for!!!!0 -
Well done you! What a result to win the very thing you were saving for. Great start to the weekProud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Thankyou, ooh, it's lovely. I need to use some of my savings to get a cover for it, though, to keep it shiney!
Still got 17 in my purse to last til Friday and earns lots of commission today. Looking forward to the end of feb and that warm fuzzy feeling as I pay off my Debenhams and Topshop Cards, saving #25 a month to go on others. Still no word from Goldfish.0 -
No word from Goldfish. I hope that's good news. I've chosen our holiday campsite, it looks lovely, during June the spa area is free to use too! Really looking forward to it. Decided to ask for euros for my birthday presents from family to top up the spending money.
Only drew 100 out of the cash machine last fri, still have a few quid left, but as I've paid my HSBC card out of the cash account I'm only left with 70 for next week, so I've decided to top that up with my saved bits of coins and if push comes to shove I know one of the kids will lend me a fiver until I get paid next Friday. I've also been thinking about this New Members evening thing at the golf club. It's really only a get-together thing, with a fish supper and the bar is subsidised so I'll suggest we walk it to save on taxis and resist the urge to go out and buy a new outfit. I'm sure I can cobble something together. Wonder if OH will wear his suit? I like him in a suit. Yummy.0 -
Right, the shortfall in the bills account by the end of the month will be 139 but this wont happen until about 3rd Feb. So, what I'm going to do is when I get paid next Fri, I will transfer over 140 from my wages to cover that shortfall, and with paying the HSBC card from my cash account again I will have 150 per week to play with. Hubby will get 40 per week and I will have 100 for housekeeping. This means I (hopefully) will have an extra 40 left at the end of the month for either emergencies or just to leave there to reduce the overdraft. The following month I will be picking up in excess of 1000, but I have to pay back the 160 for the flights and my car is due an MOT mid-march so I will have to keep a little back just in case. It's not long been serviced, though, so I will just cross my fingers about that one. Then, with whatever is leftover I'll put aside until I know how good the month after will be as the balance will be due for the campsite at the end of March. Then save whatever I can to get at least 500 spending money including my birthday money in April, book and pay for the car hire in May, holiday in June, by then lates season will have started so I can start banging through the commission, pay off the last straggly bits on cards, close them down. My OH's loan will be finished in April and then mine is done in October. More to chuck at the big debts. Save and not use CCs for Xmas. Mum and Dad are paying for all of us to go away together next year so I dont have to worry about saving for that and... ooh, it just sounds to bleeding easy. I bet it wont be!:D0
