  • Had an amazing day at work yesterday. So many bookings, I ended up earning over £220 in commission! this plus 7 hrs at my normal rate is getting on for £300 for a days work! I'm on over £400 extra so far this month. If I can make it £800 I will be so chuffed. Day off today, going to be a NSD. Leftovers for lunch and out for a walk around the lake for some exercise.
  • Great news considering you were worried about people not booking with the lack of cash about. I think everyone wants to have something nice to look forward to. I havent cut the holiday out this year just beingfrugal as usual.

Fingers crossed you get to £800 and maybe even four figures.

  • Still doing well commission wise and OH is actually working 4 days this week, not three. However, even though it is only an extra 2 hrs a day I am loathing working full time. I actually hate it. OH does no housework, as you know and subsequently we are living in a bombsite still without hot water. My sister, who is single with two kids and doesnt work (I wont say "on benefits", cos I get wound up) was going on about how she had spent all day cleaning and making her house lovely cos she has had new heating and windows fitted by the council and I could have screamed with frustration.
  • Some filthy chav kicked the wing mirror off my brand new car last night.

    Someone up there hates me.

it doesn't rain but it pours! have you got hot water yet?
  • Hello! Yes, DH mended it! I was a stuck switch.
Just read on the BBC website that DH's employers are set to announce redundancies, but he has been asked to work 5 days this week.

I've realised that somehow I have only £200 left to pay off on my marbles card. I'm making this my task before my holiday in May. After that I will do the £800 on the Virgin card.

OH sold some golf clubs on Ebay. When the cheque arrived he gave it to me and said to buy tickets for me and DS2 to go and see Oliver! with it. He's being a real sweetheart now the going is tough.

Work has knocked off for some reason. Looks like I'm finishing the month on about £600 commission. Better than usual.

i'm glad OH is finally stepping up to the mark and is helping you out, it's nice to see. Sorry to hear OH's employers are ones making redundancies, these are such worrying times aren't they?
  • No news on what he's working this week. He's due to be paid on Monday, so we're waiting to see how short we will be.
Finished the month on £620 in commission, plus the extra hours, so will pick all this up at the end of the month. Sadly none of it will go toward extra payment of debt. It will be to top-up OHs wages.

I'm still getting used to doing full time, but I'm managing. Still not sure I want it to be a permanent arrangement. I do feel selfish saying this after DH has been getting up at 5am and going out on the snow the last two mornings.
  • I can understand about not wanting full time. Dont feel too selfish though because you have a full time job with the kids and house.

Hope Feb is a better month.
