Round 1 done, plus WM is on. I am trying to read through the government guidance, but I need a break!
Round 2
Hang out washing
Empty DW
I think I am then going to tackle the utility room 😱 I have drawers in there where I keep art & craft stuff, aprons, etc. Also there is my tin of seeds and other gibble all over the work surface. And that is without the stuff in the cupboards!!
I think I may have talked myself into a plan.....9 -
Nearly lunch time here, OH coming home for an early lunch
WM 2nd load
HHI
An hour or so spent on internet looking for ideas on how to teach next week. I do English after school type stuff, 3 - 6 and 7 - 10 year olds. Most of my stuff is very tactile, singing, dancing, I make flashcards and play pairs etc to learn vocab, games like put the flashcards round the room and play run to touch. Obviously pairs or snap is out of the question but I don't want them sitting behind a desk all the time as that is not what we do. So if you any of you have any ideas as I feel I'm at a brick wall, sure once I have one idea others will follow.
Right off to lay the table and start getting lunch ready11 -
Yay Kazw - hope your phone has been ringing! xx
So far this morning I have
- drunk tea in bed and read a whole chapter of a book that I haven't touched (except for dusting, of course!) since February
- spotted a blackbird nesting in the clematis above the bug box
- checked finances
- eaten breakfast
- bathed Rosie (yesterday she rolled in something horrid) and then
- had my proper shower
- S&S'd bathroom
- started WM with dog towels and the bathmat (which I had only washed on Saturday, but now had muddy pawprints all over it)
- tidied round everywhere
- found a spare rocker switch to replace the one on my bedside lamp, which appeared to be faulty; checked inside the existing switch (in the process stabbing my hand with the screwdriver, not just once but twice), thought it looked OK, blew out some dust, tested it and decided it didn't need replacing after all
- caught up on FB while drinking coffee
- had a phone conversation with a friend from church.
Not much, really...
And our green bin hasn't been emptied - they claim that our cul-de-sac is too narrow, but the black bin lorry reverses up quite happily every week
Next I must think about what to do for lunch, as DH has a Zoom meeting from 5.30-7.30 this evening, so it might be sensible to save the soup until later. I have lockdown brain, and every decision seems to take at least an hour
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round, as needed xxxx10 -
Afternoon ladies,
Late on here for me, I've had a lot of work to do this morning making welfare calls home. Sent some follow up emails and just scoffed lunch. When the kiddies have finished eating theirs we will get out for a walk (we may need hats though, the wind is freezing 🥶).
In between work I have unloaded the DW, hung a load of washing out and sorted the post - 16 items posted today 😱 that said, nothing has been delivered for a while so I did wonder if there was a strike or staff shortage locally.I was once again touched by Flylady magic last night; you guys really are the most wonderful people 💓.Right I must get on and maintain momentum, have lovely afternoons all xx
PS Kaz I have everything crossed for you that things start to move, keep us posted x11 -
Just having a quick lunch. Walked the dogs and did banking before the paid stuff. Dailies are done too. Going to walk again now although it's colder now than it was this morning. Then I'll be back to the paid stuff.Spend less now, work less later.11

another HHI
Just started tackling the admin tray!11 -
Thanks ladies for the fingers crossed, my phone has been quite, no calls at all, so I emailed them
emails back, along the lines of we were not ready for the Gov. announcement, we don't have any gloves / masks / we have a backlog of stuff to do first and work through........................ I does make me wonder what these people have been doing as last week they were all telling me they were working from home. Madness however it seems I can possibly view either the end of this week or early next week.
DIL was on a zoom call to her works along with about 20 others from her company, in background comes running and shouting her semi naked nearly 2 year old, shouting mummy mummy I've done a poo to you want to come and look, DIL says she has never been so embarrassed as she had the sound on, and the whole meeting saw and heard

Thank you Honey Bear10 -
We had a change of plan as DD2 suggested we take the dog to the woods. I decided against the woods as there is also a public golf course there which is opening today, so we went to the nature reserve instead. The dog is now sleeping it off, and DD2 is back watching Kardashians! 🤦♀️
I have had some lunch and summoning up the energy to start on the utility room. Round 2 has now been completed.
Ok - let's do this, one drawer at a time!10 -
Is it bed time yet lol
I have cleaned the kitchen and.............. wait for it.......the oven! I am not sure I have done the oven since moving in nearly 4 years ago and the greasy striking in-between the door glass has been driving me crazy. Had to watch a few YouTube videos on how to get the glass off but it is now done and back together.....Yippy!
Just need to put the racks back in (they are drip drying) and then hoover & mop the floor.
Also tidied the living room, gave ds a x stitch lesson and started a new 1000 bit jigsaw with ds......time for coffee and a sit down I think!12
