Coffee time here.
All of the house hoovered
DD1 bedroom and bathroom floor washed
WM on
HHI
DD1 bathroom cleaned.
The place isn't looking too bad even if I say it myself, I'm definitely starting to feel better about the house these days.
Next is plan something for lunch10 -
Round 1 done, except the WM as there wasn't enough for a wash load. However, DD2 has now brought down her washing so no doubt there is enough now! I will do that next. I have also put out a small box of toys that have all been cleaned first, and put the chairs that DH left out on Freegle. I am hoping for them to be gone soon!
I am feeling a bit overwhelmed! So much to do, and don't know where to start. I may start with a few bits off the list, so I can cross off something and feel better! I am also annoyed with myself as I have been not working since 23/3 and the house is still a state - filled with hot spots! And I am not up to date with work stuff either. The garden looks better, but even the allotment is full of weeds!! What have I been doing!???! I need to give myself a slap!!
Ok - calm down...… Round 2
Put on WM
Clear & clean mantlepiece
Dust shelf above TV and water plants
Tea break! (do this last - as a reward for the other stuff!!)

Good intentions, don't beat yourself up. I find it helpful to write down what I have done as sometimes, maybe even often, I don't do what I planned but got distracted by doing something else. Look at me, I got off to a great start this morning and did loads but then fizzled out to not much, BUT I did do all those things in the morning and since then I have sorted lunch ready for when DD1 gets home
Some people find it helpful to think of the good points in the day, eg. a particularly nice cup of tea this morning, as this then reminds them that it wasn't the whole day that was bad.
Big HUGS, and keep SMILING
PS Smiling reduces stress, when my girls were doing their first important exams (o'level equivalent) the teacher told them to hold a pencil sideways across their mouth, it forces you to smile and you therefore calm down. Funny to see but I always send them a message to SMILE when they have exam, interview, first day etc. And they say it helps.10 -
Thank you Mademoiselle! I am ok, and to be fair, these feelings are my normal!! 😂 I get cross with myself for frittering away time (this brings to mind one of my favourite Pink Floyd tracks! 🌈) I really need to be stricter with myself - I pick up my phone to check one thing eg the weather, and while I'm there just check fb, have a quick game, etc - and then an hour has gone!! Such a waste of time!!
Round 2 complete - I am just drinking my tea & having a biscuit 😁 I also polished the mirror above the fireplace, so that is 2 things off the official list. Yay me!!
Round 3
Hang out washing
WM 2
Psyche myself up to tackle a hotspot!
Lunch 😂8 -
Up early and done loads already
WMx1 pegged out, dog walked, car washed and garden watered seen as we had the hose out, shopping done for an isolating friend then right on queue it rained!!!! How typical is that, looks like only a small shower and no more till tonight but grrr. Off to check the list, have a good day all.

Round 3 completed. I have decided that my 'hotspot' is more of a frog to tackle than a physical spot. I am going to do some online training! I was going to clear the coffee table, but DD2 is now downstairs parked in front of the TV and I can feel her judging me!! 😂😂
So.....Round 4!
Hang out washing
Online course, whilst drinking more tea!
Just waiting for the WM to finish, and then I'm off!9 -
Lots of hugs to everyone who's having a tough time at the moment xxx
Jojo - the thought of a herd of guinea pigs is actually quite pleasing! DD only has 3 so we're not quite there yet!
Valli - have you tried the bunnies with goose grass yet? Pretty sure we used to give to ours when I was younger but you'd better check it's ok for them.
Lists complete (ish). The earliest I'll be able to start my business again is July 4th and I'll be amazed if it happens then. My clients are all being really supportive and sending lovely messages. I can't wait to work again!11 -
