Happy dance here as DD1 has come home. Had lunch with her, put a load of her washing in (she has filed my bath with all her dirty washing!). Then went to the supermarket and diy store to buy a new bbq.
Now having a glass of wine and watching cooking on tv, OH and DD1 assembling the new bbq. Shame it's too cold to bbq but maybe at the weekend.
Have a good evening. Cheers!10 -
A day late as usual. Hugs to all, and don't beat yourself up about children/time 'wasted'/jobs undone. We just have to do what we can and know there is another day tomorrow.
I started the day with a run, having decided that it was time I did another ParkRun substitute as I'd set myself a target of doing one every month this year. It was a lovely morning, a little chilly. Run went ok but my tracker gave up the ghost half way which was irritating; it's done that the last 3 times and I don't know whether it is the app, the phone signal or whatever. Someone please tell me that, if you exercise and therefore wash them a lot, sports bras shrink. No? Oh it must be my fat back returning, ick.
One load washing done, hung out, brought in.
Wudupa.
Beans and peas released from their cosy fleece which I put on last night against frost. We barely had any.
More online course done - it's week 4 and I'm at the end of week 2......
Phone calls with brother and mum at different times.
Kitchen tidied a bit, worktops wiped down.
Registered for Iceland.
Did a little flower arrangement for the lounge.
Checked bank accounts. We've got a 1-2-3 and the rates are dropping to a pathetic level, but then so are everyone elses. How come when we were young, not earning much and had a mortgage the rates were sky high and now we're older with savings they are pathetic? Still lucky to have anything.
Mr N had a useful discussion with the GP who rang back after the receptionist reminded Mr N his blood test was due. He explained to GP that he wasn't comfortable going to the large, busy hospital and sitting in a queue; his last few bloods have been fine. GP suggested he had the blood taken at the surgery in June, at which time his pneumovax jab is due so he can have that done as well. Much happier with that arrangement.
I had another read of the self-employed grant thing. Will believe it when and if I see it.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
I’m going to change my name to Change of Plan...!!
Flying has been restricted to 2 x wm, and the second one of those was late as I had forgotten to do it. Towels now hanging indoors when they should have been outside. The one job I planned to do was to sweep and wash the kitchen floor while DH was out, and that hasn’t happened. I’ve volunteered to go into the office tomorrow, as there will only be 3 of us in a pretty large space. Just have to remember to get up, look presentable and hope my car gets me there and back.DH made it home from the family funeral eventually - having had a flat tyre from a nail just as he was about to get on the motorway. The breakdown service sorted him and sent him on his slow way with the temporary tyre, so another thing to sort and pay for.Dinner didn’t end up as planned, so pizza was cooked, so then a bottle of wine was opened...Tomorrow, thank goodness, is another day.10 -
Got some of the list done today, this is turning into a good week so far, just got to keep it up. Had to laugh earlier the tip nearest to us reopened today, I was driving past the access road and saw a car on the corner when I got closer I realised it was the queue to get into it, there must've been 30 cars waiting to go and it as spilling onto the main road, honestly i'm sure they can keep hold of their rubbish till another day.

Morning!
Yesterday was a complete write offmy mood hadn't improved and I felt extremely fatigued. Apart from feeding everyone I literally did nothing. The rest has done me well though and I am feeling much better today.
I'm going to try and get level 1 done of all 3 lists as my house looking better has been the one good thing to come out of lockdown

Good morning!
I am awake, have had tea in bed & been on the laptop. I have applied for the SE grant & it will be in my account in 6 days! *insert jumping for joy emoji here*
Yesterday I watched a CV training video made by a childminder, so much more relevant. There are lots of webinars I can do made by her (she is very good and deserves some recognition for the work she is doing!). I updated my CPD log last night, as I hadn't added in any course done for over a year! I am starting to get in the work zone head space again. I just need to keep up the momentum now!
Round 1
Get up, dressed & breakfasted
Check bank accounts & emails
Check seedlings
Narc0 Well done on the running. I am starting to think I should get back to it..... I am also worried that the sports bra may have shrunk in the wash (even though I haven't worn it, so it hasn't been washed!!)
Ok - I am off to start round 1, then I can plan what I do next......
Hugs to those that need it, esp MeandThe2 I am glad you are feeling a bit better today - be kind to yourself x
