*almost* finished the button band for the cardi. More wool ordered to knit DD a cute little polo top as featured in June Pr1ma.
It is, apparently, 'not too tricky'. It will be the first time I have attempted an adult garment in about 40 years. OMG how long...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Thanks ladies - I'm glad I can rant and cry on here, as DH is pretty rubbish at soothing and calming me when I'm upset. He tries the "there's always somebody worse off" routine, which makes me want to punch him in the face.
Dining room had also been cleaned and tomorrow I will need to tart up the bunch of flowers on the table with something pretty from the garden as some of the flowers have faded. I've got lilac and lilies together at the moment so the scent hits you like a sledgehammer when you go in the room.
ASB - big hugs - your days sound like mine. Don't get me wrong, I love my boys, but they know how to press all of my buttons. Hope you can scrape together the money you need to get the drains fixed. When mine start to pong I dump a whole bottle of caustic soda down the plughole (I'm sure I hear my septic tank scream at me) then pour hot water after... And then I run! The chemical reaction can be very violent and I've had geysers up from the sinks, but it does work. Just be very careful as the stuff burns skin something awful.
I've had an email back to my reply that I sent to Small's teacher detailing what's not happening at home and she was very supportive. She said he is bright and articulate and already ahead at school, so not to worry too much. She and I are both helping at the key worker childcare club on Wednesday and Thursday, so I'll chat to her about more then.
I'm sorry I haven't personally responded to all the support and advice, or offered my two-penneth on other people's problems, but I'm totally drained and need to re-read and respond when I'm not so tired.
See you tomorrow ladies xxx

Hi all
Just popping on to send massive supportive hugs to those in need. It might not be much but I’m thinking of you all xx
I have just done my virtual book club meeting, DH is still working. I’m back at the paid stuff tomorrow so will be getting an early night. I’m pleased that I have a sparkly kitchen to show for my efforts today 😁
Back tomorrow x8 -
Good evening!
I spent the afternoon sorting out the play food boxes. I have washed up the plates/cups/pots, etc. and wiped all the play food with anti bac. I have also thrown some rubbish stuff out and sorted some to give away. It is not all put away yet, but shouldn't take long in the morning to finish off. I am contemplating putting it all away in the shed for the time being though. The children always 'pretend' to eat the food and drink from the cups, etc. but it always ends up in their mouths. It also encourages sharing play, which is normally a good thing, but I am not so sure in the current climateIt is very sad really!
Well, tomorrow is another day, and I must try harder!! I am currently watching last Friday's Gardener's World. Poor Nigel
Hugs to anyone that is struggling at the moment for whatever reason, especially ASB, MeandThe2, Dizzy, YL & Fayolle xx
Night night all!

Good morning you lovely lovely lot,
You made me feel immeasurably better yesterday, thank you so much. I do feel a bit brighter today, but am being careful not to peak too soon which would inevitably lead to an afternoon slump. I have unloaded the DW, set the first wash load going and tidied the kitchen. I have a bit of banking to do, an Amazon return to send back and a webinar for work. Also need to work out what we are having for tea, there is some mince in the fridge that I need to turn into something.
Dizzy - thank you for the reminder about caustic soda, I have ordered some this morning so will give that a try first. I hope you have a better day with your boys today, and get yourself some Gin in love!YL - how is the doorframe?! I must admit this made me smile.
Right will pop back later have lovely days all xx10 -
Good morning
Up and ready to start work. I have a feeling that I might be back in the office at some point this week.WM is on, DH has a conference call, then he is off to his relative’s funeral. I really need to run the vacuum cleaner around the LR from today’s list at some point - and the sun is showing up how filthy the windows are. I know it’s on the inside as the window cleaner did the outsides last week, so no excuse there.
Thanks for the reminder, ASB - I have an am@zon return to sort out as well.
GI - I was also looking through some pictures of Nigel last night - he was a beautiful boy.
Lots of virtual hugs all round. Have lovely days all.8 -
