UK and Euro Wiis play in the UK without any compatibility issues though you will have to buy an plug converter for a euro model(two pin plug) at around £3 on ebay.

Wiis from Other countries are not wholly compatible and may be region locked or in the case of Japanese wiis, only play Japanese discs in you have guessed it Japanese(might be a problem if you don't speak the language lol)

I think you need a pluggin to make that work.. it doesn't have that option as standard

I've got a Wii Play (inc Remote) reserved at the Argos in Grimsby (Victoria Street). It has to be collected today - if anybody want it - you can have it.

PM me and I'll send it to you (don't want to post it here in case it gets nabbed by some moneygrabber and sold on Ebay - yep! They are even flogging Argos reservation numbers - £5 each)
