    @thumpthump - yeah did that like you said,  a simple civil email over 72 hours ago with relevant details - but no response to the present time  :-(

    What's going on with everyone else who frequented this thread, are you mostly paid up now?  I've been 3 weeks now, have rung occasionally but just got the HSBC staff working at home who do the best they can, but they have no information, has anyone been longer than 3 weeks or so on here?

    It's been a month for me. I applied on the 4th May. No straight answers. I've reapplied again on 29th May.

    Sorry been quite for a few days. I spoke to some one on Thursday last week and was told not to re-apply they admitted that the info they gave was wrong and have escalated my application (p.s they are still working weekends).  Still no answer we are now really up against it. We looked like a real good profit plus employing 2 staff this year but it seems like 6 years of hard work could be wiped out in 3 months.
    Make me mad and also upset. I am sure all of you on here are trying to make things work but are getting frustrated with the banks. 
    Hope all goes OK guys will post more when I have more from my end.
  • Im so sorry to hear there are others as frustrated as us. We have had our business account with HSBC for 10 years and now turn over over 800k. We applied on 4th May and didn't find out for nearly 3 weeks that our application  had been lost. (Hounded our Relationship Manager for information.)  So we re-applied on Friday 22nd May and nothing since. I keep phoning and get no where, our Relationship Manager can't find out anything, he's raised a complaint on our behalf which has done zilch. We're at a loss! What on earth is going on!

We applied on 4th May and didn't find out for nearly 3 weeks that our application  had been lost. (Hounded our Relationship Manager for information.)  So we re-applied on Friday 22nd May and nothing since. I keep phoning and get no where, our Relationship Manager can't find out anything, he's raised a complaint on our behalf which has done zilch. We're at a loss! What on earth is going on! 
    Who is your RM. Mine is Andrew cox. Mentioned before I applied on 4th for 50K. Been with HSBC for 4 years plus with healthy turnover. Myself have personal account for 20 years plus. Even received a call from the complaints department saying they will further escalate. Hahahaha, another department for complaints. All I could do now is write to the chancellor!

    I was told the worst thing we can do is re-apply because it then shows up as a duplicate in the system and causing further problems

    I applied beginning of may still not heard anything that's really f ing frustrating that people who applied last  week have already got accounts what's going on?

    Again I was told the reason people are getting theirs that applied last week is because the system has changed and it’s all computerised so easy to do. The people who applied at the start because the system crashed it is having to be done manually. To me that’s a poor excuse and a utter disgrace that nearly a month down the line people like me who applied on the 4th are still waiting and being lied to about what has happened, even worst that the government is allowing this to happen

    I finally got mine showing after applying on the 4th May also, they have apparently set up a dedicated team to call those that have got lost in the system. I got called yesterday and was solved the same day, it’s been weeks of frustration just hang in there, I sent numerous emails and escalated to a complaint I don’t know if that’s why I got called or if it was just my turn, I also emailed Ian Stuart as another suggested on here. I would not bother with calling you dont get anywhere but keep emailing and message via your online banking.

    On Friday morning the BBL appeared on Internet banking and I received the echosign email at 11am. It was signed and returned at about 12.30pm and the funds had appeared by 3pm the same day. 

    I suspect I’ll never know if the email to the CEO was the game changer or not, but after weeks of nothing suddenly things started to happen.

    Oh great thank you! I signed them yesterday afternoon so hopefully today at some point it will clear! Cross fingers :) glad you got sorted it’s been a long slog for many of us and I feel for those still waiting all I can say is that has finally been done so there’s hope
