Hi all. Ive not been on here for a while and have just been catching up. Everyone is doing so well.
Since moving in Jan our bathroom was flooded from the decorators upstairs. I have written to the management company to pass a letter on to the owners of the flat for my hotel costs and money to repair the damage - plus a little extra for the inconvenience of it all. So that will be about £300 and then I got bored so I wrote to the insurance company (who dealt with another water leak in the flat) about the poor decorating job their decorators have done and have requested money for me to buy stuff to fix this and money for the rent we had to pay due to not being able to live in the flat which is about another £550. So thats a whopping £850 (providing they pay up) but mentioned that I would speak to my solicitor if this wasnt dealt with so hopefully that will give them a kick up the bum plus I do work for a solicitor. But I want to do my bike test this year before it changes in October and that will costs me about £450. What to do????
Plus ive been money saving by switching my car insurance and have got £100 coming from quidco.
Ive not updated my sig for Feb as ive not had a chance to work it all out.
Keep up the good workDFW Nerd No: 758  Proud to be dealing with my debts!:T Proud mum to Bon-Scott my amazing 10/10/10 baby0 -
 Hello lovelies!
I'm a bit late as usual but can I join in with this challenge?
We have just over £20k left to go and I would abso-blimmin-lutely LOVE to have that squared away by Christmas.
I've just realised that that would mean paying off £2000 a month every month for the ten months that are left, but what the heck! Miracles happen!
If we can even get close that would be fab.
*nips off to online banking to see how much we can afford to pay off this month*

Congrats unixgirluk on the wedding news, looks like your going to be busy.
Jacks, wondered when you would get round to joining this challenge, figured you'd be a likely candidate for this sort of challenge!
Have been so busy that i haven't been able to update or sort out how much money i can chuck at my total yet, but promise to do it soon. However am keeping a fair bit of money in my account as i want to do quite a bit of matched betting this month. The difficult bit will come in putting the effort into getting my money back from companies then using it to put aside.
12k a hell of a lot to have paid off since last July taxi73 so well done to you.
Am off to go fill in surveys and check out my matched betting.:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Thanks Taxi73, Andan, Alimac23, we're hoping to get married end of August this year but its money dependent. I've just joined an ebay challenge on the main page to get some funds for the wedding. Not after anything fancy just something simple but everywhere seems so expensive!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Hi
Never registered before but have now!
Need to be debt free asap!
Got £11,671 that is really just hanging around at that figure so need to get it sorted. It has been about the same for the past 3 years and although the debtors change the figure remains the same!
Not sure about all these extra bits and pieces that I can do but would love to join in the race to become debt free by Christmas. Any links to sites or ideas of how to get some extra cash to help pay larger chunks off would be great.
At the moment we have budgeted for minimums and when the minimum payments fall our payments will stay the same. This we hope will make a huge difference.
Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated as need more coming in.
Partners wage does essentials and being self employed I have no guarantee of what I will get so need all the help you can throw my way please?0
