  • Well done pollydaydream :T bad luck poorandindenial:doh: my friend got £3,000 credited to her account just after she was refused a loan for the same amount, so she thought they'd given her the loan after all, & enquired with the bank to see what was happening, turns out someone made a mistake on a paying in slip - I wonder what would've happened had she kept quiet:confused: this was years ago I was a mere whippersnapper & I remember her telling me & thinking £3000 was a fortune:p which I suppose it was when you are YTS on £27 a week:mad:

Evening all, well still haven't had my isa opened so not moving any money as yet, however am being very good with the money and not spending it unless i have to. Therefore when it finally does get opened up then i can move a large amount across and will see a leap in my total. Its nice to see a healthy balance in my current account though, especially as i get paid next week, at the end of the month.

Have sold a few things on Amazon over the past few days which should make improvements to my total. Also plan to get back to matched betting and hopefully can make a bit out of this. Next week should also give me an opportunity to sign up to some more mystery shopping companies and look for some more part time work.

Everyone seems to be doing well and any payments are better than no payments.

  • Good morning everyone.

It's payday today :j . I never used to get this excited before the debt busting, but I've been up since 6 o'clock paying things and doing calculations!

I seem to be £17 a month better off thanks to Gordon Brown, so guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

I've bitten the bullet and paid £325 (and 5p) off a miscellaneous debt. In for a tight month (porridge anyone?) but got to get my backside in gear now.

Also signed up for the MAD Ebay challenge to target one credit card - think I am mad, because can't think of anything I've got left to sell, just hoping for inspiration.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi all!

I haven't posted on this thread for AGES because I'm afraid to say that although we've made all the usual monthly payments, we've also been increasing debt because of the house move. I haven't been faffing though, honest! All spends have been necessary (well, necessary in the sense that I couldn't live in this house without curtains, paint etc. Not quite life or death but important to me!) but I'm going to have to do a major spreadsheet re-calculation before I can update my totals, which have probably gone backwards.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

I think there are a few of us that have got "stuck" for various reasons......however.....give us a few weeks and we will be back with a vengence and those credit cards and loans won't know what has hit them!!!

    Morning all...
well done to everyone so far!!!...life is full of ups and downs and sometimes we seem to be going backwards and other months we chugg along nicely.
Don't forget fuel food gas and electric etc. have all greatly increased in price so that will take a chunk of our money we would've used for debt busting!!!..then we have unexpected stuff get in the way...I think that as long as the debt is down at the end of the year we are all winners.
Just updated as my £196.60 loan came out today.
